Monte Calvario is easily accessible on the micro (city bus) and is a peaceful, shady, tree-lined oasis within Tandil. Along with the cross, itself, there are statues throughout the location with images and prayers related to the stations of the cross. Even as a non-Catholic, I found the images and prayers moving.

Definitely if you are in Tandil, you have to go there, a peaceful place, with many statues and a big cross at the top.

It is a simply a perfect combination of peace & forest beauty. Highline the preservation of the place, the beautiful grotto of Lourdes and the way of Calvary itself ... leno of green tones and the sound of birds. There is a place of Peace in Tandil and you must know it.

We walked to the Monte Calvario, going through the park, passing each of the stations of the cross, depicted by carved statues, some better than others. The place was very peaceful and the Crucifix at the top is really tall. From there you get a view of part of the town.
