Moving Movediza!
Apr 2018 • Friends
Had a great walk out to the Movediza and once there in the park area leading up to the stone you have all the explanation about the moving stone and when it fell at its replacement. The place was quite busy with many tourists taking photos. You can see where the original stone fell but the replacement ' plastic' stone should at least have been painted the same colour as the original! It sticks out as it is much lighter than the surrounding rocks! Great views from the top.

Tandil is a very quiet small town South West of Capital Federal. we went with backpacks and a pair of very good shoes.
Great to walk, to see places that they look that sometimes they got stuck in time ( pueblos pequenos)

What's the big rock?
Sep 2015 • Family
A very nice place with great views of the area and the town of Tandil.
One of the 'must go' places when in Tandil.
There is a short climb to get to the hill top, but it is an easy climb suitable for kids. Not accessible for people with handycups and mobility dificulties.
The rock itself is a replica to the original which fell in 1912.

Symbolic fake stone
Jan 2014 • Solo
This is an iconic place in Tandil, the city used to be well known just for this magic stone that used to move naturally, from side to side. One day it felt down and the city cried, it happened in 1912.
Few years ago, was placed a new fake stone very similar to thr original one in the same place were the original used to be. People from averywhere back to the city to see how used to look.
Form top of the mountain, theres a very nove views from the city.

Great views! The rock is a reproduction...
Jul 2013
This is an easy short hike and gives you great views of Tandil. But the fame that this place has of the "piedra movediza" fell decades ago, and the current reproduced rock is hollow. So go for the views, the rock was a disappointment.
