Through this visit, we are linked to the restorative energy of the trees of this Forest, which concentrate more energy than all the trees in the area. It helps relaxation, increases well-being, and generates ecological awareness for the protection of the forest and nature.

Bosque del Vivero is the quintessential place for an traditional Argentine family "asado". Located just south of town at the intersection of Calle 26 and Calle 73 (you can take the bus that goes to Mar de Sud from the plaza in Miramar) is a cluster of old sand dunes that have been stabilized by a covering of pines, eucalyptus trees, interesting shrubs and other plants. The forest stretches for several kilometers along the coast. There are lots of picnic sites with "fogones" fireplaces with grills that you can rent for about $6.00 for the day. There is a $2.00 entrance fee for cars, pedestrians are free. There are many kilometers of trails through the woods to secluded beaches and to the "Bosque Energético". There are several stores and restaurants for snacks, soft drinks and ice cream bars. There is horseback riding, bicycling and pedal carts and there is the nice little Museo Municipal Punta Hermengo. Bosque del Vivero is an escape into nature with lovely forest trails and miles of undeveloped beaches for beach walking, wading, swimming and fishing.

It is practically unthinkable to visit Miramar without at least once getting lost in this beautiful forest, in full and private contact with the trees and the vastness of nature. Every time I was there, I felt safe. Its quietness is a true treasure.
