It's got good exhibitions in modern 'installations.' They vary their exhibitions so it will depend on the time you visit; but I've been in different occasions and they were all surprisingly good, better than what I expected for 'installations' and for Mar del Plata.

The museum is a nice place to stop in if you are walking along the ocean. There is a gift and coffee shop. We did not try the coffee shop, but it was full of people.

The good thing is that it is free to visit and that the food is good and inexpensive at the cafeteria. Less good is the 3 exhibitions, very amateur artists without any interest.
And worse ... no permanent collection.
A sad moment in a rainy day !

There were only two showrooms. The others were under construction or something. The artworks we saw were not really intresting. After 10 min we saw everything. Very disapointing.

This museum is a beautifully designed, spacious edifice. The two artists' exhibitions weren't my taste, but then, that's how it goes with art. It doesn't cost anything to visit, so go and check it out. There was a cafe/restaurant there too, but we didn't try it. Parking available on a side street.

Visited MAR many times. Exhibits are renewed and the space allows a wide variety of art pieces of different sizes. Even a whole room is introduced as a work of art!

There are only 3 or 4 exhibit rooms in the museum but they were interesting and interactive. The admission was free and it is worth an hour or so of your time to explore.
