This cathedral is pure beauty. The interior is gorgeous with great light for taking pictures. I went with my sister on a Saturday. The crowd was not to bad and the interior offered a super place to get out of the sun and cool off. It is a great way to spend an hour to admire all the art.

Mar del Plata´s Cathedral is one of the most important buildings in the city. Located in the middle of the downtown, it´s a must-see if you are walking nearby.

Magnificent cathedral with beautiful artwork. Great history lessons to be had also. Don't forget to look above door on the way out to see the huge organ above. Read or do some research before going will make it a better experience too!

Nice church and very central...in the heart of the town...and many nice places to visit in the area.

Beautiful carved wood altar and magnificent inlaid wood floor. Gorgeous stain glass windows too, but the netting to keep out the birds detracts from the viewing.

To me, each place of worship is God's portrait. This Cathedral surpasses other places of worship in Mar del Plata. It is a congolomerate or fusion of exquisite art, sculpture and architecture.

Love walking from the beach to the cathedral and once there sitting on the steps and enjoying the majesty of such an important landmark. the plaza in front of the cathedral is also not to be missed.

Extremely beautiful Cathedral, so very ornate without being garish. Really worth a visit. Also houses the tomb of General Jose de San Martin who was the prime leader in Argentina’s successful struggle for independence from Spain in the 19th Century.
