This place has a room in my heart. With the beautiful view all around the beach it is one of the most wonderful places to visit when you are in Mar del Plata. After we walked from the Casino up to El Torreon del Monje,...More

From the outside this castle like building sticks out on the beach and can't be missed. We had a drink on the terrace there while we contemplated the view over the sea and along the coast.

We stopped here for afternoon tea and while the views were magnificent, the flan was subpar and service was alright.

The past grandeur of Mar del Plata is evident. Sadly, the trash & graffiti throughout the beach area detract from the experience. It could be so much nicer. The torreon was nice to see but it just seems tired.

A landmark of Mar Del Plata. Wish there was a cool museum section as the love story regarding the fortress is charming. I guess have a coffee inside and daydream a little?

The Torreón has still got that x factor as an attraction as it exudes the atmosphere of 1904 when it was first built. It´s a vibrant, living piece of history wherein one can soak in the Mar Platense ambience! Much recommended!

Fake "castle" close to the beach. It's only a medium sized, extremely high priced restaurant inside, next to a souvenir shop and an "art fair". I cannot evaluate the food quality since we were not served when sitting in the restaurant. So we left.

Unfortunately all the documentation is in Spanish but it is nice place to sit, relax and have a drink.

This is a highly recommended place to visit. It has an amazing view of the shore and the city. The cafe inside the building is excellent. We had a great coffee with croissants. Nice service, free WiFi (no passcode, yes, that's good !). Don't miss...More
