We did not want a "Vegas" type showroom tango show. Friends that live in BA recommended Rojo to us. It is a small intimate venue, which we absolutely loved. The dancers, the orchestra and the singers were all outstanding. I highly recommend this show. It...More

This is one of the most overhyped events in Buenos Aires. I paid $210 and was given a seat in the very last row. Couldn't see anything at all, except the heads of the dancers. Asked for a refund literally 3 minutes into the show...More

We paid $300 for dinner and were ushered to the back row behind EVERY guest paying for show only. I asked for manager SEVEN time and he/she never showed. Shameful for the Faena. I had to stand to see the feet of dancers. Those who...More

The Rojo Tango was class all the way. They sent us a car that picked us up at the hotel at 8:00pm. This was a good call, because when we were there (October, 2018) there was major construction in the area. When we arrived at...More

Recommended by the concierge at our hotel, This show is a bit expensive, but I think it was worth it. The food was good, and the show very dramatic and fun. It is an intimate venue, and that really helps to make the experience especially...More

Beautiful talented dancers and singers. Small intimate room. Food was good. Plenty of decent wine. Show starts after 9. And last past 11.

That honestly was not an option presented, but it is a very small and intimate venue. Our seat was 3 tables back but still only about 20 ft from the stage with excellent visibility.

tango show - without dinner? (23 Replies)
I know a TON has been posted on tango shows, and I've read almost everything. But I don't think I've seen an answer to this exact question, and I apologize if it's out there and I missed it. My husband and I will be on our honeymoon (end of December) and we're very into food - given that, we don't really want to give up one of our five dinners in BA for a mediocre dinner at a tango show but we do want to see a tango show. What should we do? Should we go to Rojo Tango without dinner? Or a...More

Hello seg32: I Do not tell if in Tango Red, you can only go see the show without the dinner included. These places offer the show with or without dinner. Consultation schedules and prices to their web - El Viejo Almacen: Av Balcarce and Independence Avenue - San Telmo - Tel 4307-7388. Recognized home of tango, linked to the memory of a great singer, Edmundo Rivero. Excellent international cuisine and national levels. Open Monday to Sunday dinner Hours: 20 hs.Horario Show: 22 pm....More

I'd like to hear about this show. Is is as nice as it appears on their site? How about the food, is any good or it's the same as in other tourist tango shows?

Tango Show Question (4 Replies)
I am trying to book tango shows for my upcoming trip and have decided on Michelangelo and Rojo Tango. The prices I am being quoted are US$82 for Michelangelo and US$167 for Rojo Tango (without transfers as apparently they don't pick up from outside the downtown area - we are staying at Hotel BoBo). The posted prices on the agent's websites are less but apparently the prices have been put up for December but haven't been updated on the sites. Before I go ahead and confirm the booking -...More
