This was my first fish spa so I have nothing to compare it to. I arrived just before closing so was not able to get the full spa experience but the part i did have was good. Spa seemed clean and owner was friendly.

I was very excited to visit this spot on my birthday trip to Buenos Aires, but when we arrived it was not open and the windows were covered in newspaper. Yet, there was no mention of it being closed on their website. Very disappointing.

If you find yourself visiting Buenos Aires, the "Paris of South America," then be sure to place The Pez Spa high on your things to experience list. This small shop is located in a neighborhood that is a reflection of the fine and friendly population of local citizens in BA. The exotic service consists of 30-40 small gentle fish in a fresh water tank that consume old dead skin and debris from your feet as you soak for about 45-60 minutes. The feeling is an initial tickle followed by relaxation, stress relief and a renewed look and feel to one's feet. Follow the "fish treatment" with a foot massage and you have treated yourself to royal pampering. As I recall the cost for my wife and I was very reasonable at about $38.00 US with a gratuity for the fine caring service. We shall return for more of the same.

I thought the spa was very nice and the woman running it was very nice. The only qualm I had was that she used the same gloves to scrub everyone's feet!!! What if others had diseases on their feet that were possibly transferable?!?! I tried to keep those thoughts off of my mind while trying to experience this craze. I heard this is the only place in Buenos Aires that is allowed to have fish because it is now very hard to acquire these fish from the middle east. She first scrubed our feet and legs to remove any chemicals or debris from our skin that would contaminate the fish. Then she gave us some slippers to wear to walk over to the chairs where we would place our feet into to have the fish nibble the dead skin off our feet. It was slightly weird and ticklish at first and then at some points it was slightly irritating depending on where the fish were nibbling. After about 50 minutes or so, she had me remove my feet and then asked if I wanted some lotion on my feet. I said sure and so she dried my feet and applied some lotion. The whole experience cost ARS 180. Not too bad for a new experience. I only wished they would have disposable scrubbing gloves that they would use only once per person!!!

I brought my teenage son here, with the agreement that I'll skydive with him if he got the fish treatment with me. It was wonderfully soothing and friendly there. I went for the fish, massage & pedicure and was there just over 2 hours. My son just got the fish treatment, but was quite satisfied to chat and use their wifi. They had soothing music & running water in the background, the massage was lovely and the table was under a warming lamp. It was the perfect relaxation after a long flight and day walking around the city. The staff was courteous and personable, and we had the place to ourselves the entire time (minus a few on-lookers). The finished product was softer, & smoother feet, and it's also supposed to boost our circulation too. A fun way to spend a couple of hours. I was prepared to be tickled, but it was more like feeling ripples or a little vibration against your feet.
