I liked the dinner, traditional, without great expectations. The tango show was very good. 5 musicians, piano, cello, violin, percussion,... 3 couples of dancers, 1 singer and 1 singer.
The show alternates between dances and singers. I thought it was great, it gave me a chance to experience a bit of the local culture.
We paid 500.00 reais for a couple, I thought it was good value for money.
My tip is to focus on the tango show. There’s no harm in generating expectations at dinner.

This is a true authentic tango place, opened also for tourist. The show is traditional tango, with an amazing orchestra, specially for the guitarist and the pianist. All the team is of very high quality, dancers and singers. It is a real tango show. Moreover, you eat very well. We were a group of eight, and all was perfect, since the car taking us at the hotel, till the end back. Passing by the nice wellcome, the perfect timing, the excellent food and the excellent show. Moreover, it is much more affordasble than many other less authentic proposals. Special word for the place itself, one of the most sacred tango places in Buenos Aires, finely revived by Eulogio and his team. If you are looking for a perfect tango show, don't hesitate!

We did the dinner and tango show and it was worthwhile. First, the food was better than we expected, and we had options (chicken, fish or beef). My chicken was moist and flavorful, noting to complain about. Hubby did the beef and again, the best beef in the world is here. Dessert was fair. The show was quite good and we enjoyed the dancing and the singing. Worthwhile.

DO NOT waste your time or money on this place. Total scam in an unsafe neighborhood. We reserved 2 months in advance. They wanted a “certificate” to get in. We said online and they let us in. Fine. We bought the nice meal but they tried to tell us we had to pay more for it until we showed them the email confirmation (they took our phone physically to confirm). Then the musicians we subpar. They must have been mainly students who didn’t know the music, and they were off beat the whole time. The food was over cooked and mediocre at best. Very rude family in front talked the whole time. And to cap it off, I was robbed leaving the venue. DO NOT GO!!!

The place is atypical, old tango vibe, theater type. The rabas were spectacular, impeccable frying, not heavy at all. The bread basket could be better, although they put some mini ham and cheese empanadas in there, it's not very neat and the bread is only French. The meat empanada is very delicious, also not heavy. The pasta arrived a little cold, but was delicious (vegetable and ricotta ravioli), the seafood casserole, very correct and in abundant portion. The waiter served us well, without standing out, with some shortcomings. The coffee could be better and some were given a petir four and others were not, due to the waiter's inattention, I suppose. If I am in the area, I will keep it in mind to return.

We liked the atmosphere of the room and the wait staff seemed friendly. The food was just ok and the caesar salad had nothing in common with a caesar salad. The steak was ok but a bit tough, and dessert was just average. The show was fine. What we noted was during the request for tips which they projected on to a screen at the end of the show they noted that the tipping is to the discretion of the gentlemen. I understand that it is a different culture but also a little dated in 2023. I think guest may be a better term as I saw many groups of women and I am sure they could figure out a tip without male guidance

We had a great time at this restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advanced and sit as close as possible to the stage to enjoy the show. We arrived early and dinner was served promptly; full course, with a small empanada, 2 or 3 choices for appetizer, entree and dessert. Drinks are also included as well as a-nice quality wine (one bottle for two people). Our server was very courteous, quickly took away leftovers or empty platters and refilled our glasses without us having to ask. Now to the important part: the tango show was just perfect! Four couples take turns with 2 singers between very well choreographed dancing. The dresses are beautiful and the dancers move so at ease and elegantly. We enjoyed the show very much and got a nice taste of tango and Argentinian songs

The food itself is just worth the price. We went on a Monday so it was like 40% full. The service was great, the food was delicious and the steak cook as ordered. The show itself provides a more authentic/old fashioned Tango. It is about an hour and a half, so not too long or too short. If you are in Buenos Aires and looking for an authentic show and a good dinner, this is the place to go.

If you want a traditional Tango show, away from the pyrotechnics of other more elaborate shows who are not, in essence, the true spirit of the Buenos Aires tango, Homero Manzi is the place to go. I could not recommend it more. The food is good (for the amount of service they have to perform on a single evening), the waitress and staff and friendly and fun, and the show is great, complete with live singing and a live band who really performs flawlessly. I think the nature of the place should be more attractive for older couples than younger folks, as it's really about the traditional elements, but everyone will enjoy it.
The only reason I am not giving it a 5/5 rating is the transport service (which is run by another contracted company). It came out late, took a long time to get the transfers, and got us there with little time to spare. This meant people had bad seats in the back due to the tardiness of the transport pickup (we, as a couple, were VERY lucky and were able to be seated at mid part, closer to the bar, but others were not so lucky). Also, the van was crowded and we had to squeeze one extra person on the back. So, if the management is reading this: please review who are doing the transport service and make sure you don't lose your customers satisfaction right on the first minutes.
I will recommend Homero Manzi regardless, though. You will enjoy it.

We were not sure what to expect at our Tango Show for our $50 , Would it be a tourist "Rip Off" with rubbish food served in an old cellar ? IT WAS NOT!
Our $50 bought us collection and return from our hotel in a very comfortable bus.
A top quality steak meal (I am a foodie) with wine and the most amazing show I have seen in years. The musicians each perform solo numbers and collective numbers and they are so GOOD we were on our feet after each number. I have not even mentioned the tango dancers and the singers , they are incredible.
The venue is an authentic Tango restaurant with a large ground floor surrounded by a balcony . The walls are covered with pictures of famous people (including Evita )
who have attended over the 40 or so years that it has been in operation.
The owner Homero Manzi still performs every night with his fabulous singers and he is a complete natural, full of South American charm and personality.
I have seen the odd tango danced in the past BUT THIS IS SOMETHING ELSE !!!
It made you want to run out and take lessons right away.
I just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it , if we had had the time we would have certainly gone again the day after .
All in all , the best 50 bucks we have ever spent !!!!

Onde você fez a reserva?

Boa Viagem...
