I was recently in Bs. As. and had a day to myself so I wanted to spend it fishing. i found this company online and was excited to get it booked. i was clear with Matt Carter, the agent i spoke with, about exactly what type of fish i wanted to catch and the methods for catching them. He told me no problem. When the actual guide picked me up I asked him about it and he said it was not good time for that at first. I stopped walking with him then he told me it was ok then pretended he didn't speak English. This should have been my first hint but I proceeded anyway because i was excited. This was a horrible mistake. When we got to the boat the guide had none of the equipment or bait I requested to be fishing with. The equipment he did have was junky old stuff. The type of fishing we did was very poor and the fish were very small. The guide made no attempt to make things right. Very poor service on the water. I was lucky enough to be on the boat with other people that are actually guides as well. They told me there is no way we were going to catch the dorado i was looking for. After a long miserable day on the water, the guide left me at the dock and said I had to take the train back. Again, I was lucky these other people were with me because they told me it was very unsafe to ride this train and they were very nice and gave me a ride home. When I approached this company about my trip, Matt told me it was due to natural forces out of their control. The company is no good and offered only 25% refund when they lied to me about everything from the very beginning. POOR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER CARE!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

Response from Unicotrip, Manager at Unicotrip

We are sorry to hear about your bad experience with Unicotrip. Jason sent our company an enquiry about a fishing trip. He wanted to fish for Dorado. Dorado is the main type of fish in the Tigre Delta. I explained to Jason that it was probably he would catch the fish as its very common, but its not certain. Unfortunately, Jason had bad luck and was not able to catch Dorado. He caught other type of fish. The wind was quite strong on that particular day which scared away the Dorado. Also, cold water currents caused the Dorado fish to go away. The fishing equipment we use is of good quality. Alejandro, our professional fisherman, is not native English so he sometimes makes mistakes. On this particular day he did not understand everything that Jason said. This is because English is not his native language. We charge extra for hotel pick-up and drop-off and Jason did not want to pay extra for the transportation as he thought it was to expensive. I gave him the address of the Marina and it was his job to find his own way as he did not want to pay for transportation. Jason decided to take the train instead of a taxi. That was his own choice. The trains are not the safest form of transport in Argentina but it was the choice of Jason not to pay extra. We offered Jason a 25% discount as a gesture of goodwill. We would normally not offer refunds just because our clients had bad luck on their fishing trip and were not able to catch a certain type of fish. All our guests have been very happy with the fishing trip, as can be seen with the photos on our website. All our guests have caught very big fish, including Dorado, and their smiling faces shows they had such a wonderful day. We look forward to running our Buenos Aires Fishing Trip with future guests. Kind Regards, Matt Carter

BA has so much history that this is the only way to take it all in one day. Argentina is a huge country.Tours were 2-3 days out side of BA, so plan ahead.

I went to BA for one week with two friends to discover the city ! At the beginning we were not so willing to do this type of touristy tours because we don't like these touristic things. But actually it was absolutely not like that, the kind of guide with umbrella which tells boring things, it was just the opposite. Claudia (the guide) showed us the city, and the most amazing places, while she was telling stories and hidden secrets about BA. Moreover, we really appreciated the fact that we could speak about everything as well as serious topics from the economic situation to where we can find the best beer in the city. It was relaxed day out. During the tour, we went also in a little cafe, really cute that we could surely not have found if we were visiting by ourselves. Claudia gave us some places, his favourites, of the best restaurants and bars of the city, it was really nice the trips she gave us.

Im on a very short trip in south america along with my girlfriend. Where were thiking about leaving BA earlier but we decided to stay a little longer. The reasons: Many I guess, we were possibly expecting less from BA but somehow this city managed to amaze us.There is so much to do, so many places to visit, great street and gourmet food from all over the world, theaters, museums, the atmosphere, the people. I guess this city is rather too big compared to our hometown or every other standard european city, so thats why we took a chance and hired a private tour around the city and we did it with the guys from UnicoTrip. The idea was trying to discover and explore this wonderful and misterious city, and the only way of doing it, is of course, with the help of the locals. So how did this story end? Fantastically. The standards of quality the tours had and the professionalism the tour guide showed was something to highlight. When hiring a private service you automatically level up your stardards and set yourself only for the best possible service. Well, these guys got the job perfectly done. Tour lenght was good, the insight stories, the places we have seen, the stops, the kindness, everything fullfilled our expectations and even more. Apart from all the stories and facts about BA, we ended the tour being very well informed about several things we´d have never known unless we heard them from a local "porteño", like special hiden places, restaurants, bars. The guide also took care of making us feel like we were just visiting a friend who showed around, but always keeping the professionalism up high! We are both very happy for the choice made and we would definitely recommend this company to whoever wants a "Uniquetrip"! Keep up the hard work and hope you keep on making people´s trips "unico". Muchas gracias amigos! Laurent und Carla aus der Schweiz.
