Having not done any exercise for a couple weeks, I was very eager to play a soccer game so I could offset all the steak and empanadas I've been eating. It was very easy to sign up for a game and the location is ideal if you are staying in Palermo. My favorite part was how seamlessly BAFA brings together locals, expats and people who are simply passing through Buenos Aires. If you're a decent soccer player and looking for a game that is both fun and competitive this will be a great experience for you.

I read about FC BAFA in a Buenos Aires travel guide and thought it’d be a great way to play football in one of the most football obsessed countries on the planet during my trip around South America. Signing up for a match online was easy and payment was made in cash on the night. BAFA was described as a place where travellers meet up to play football in Buenos Aires and although I enjoyed the experience, I felt like an outsider as local regulars wouldn’t really pass the ball or get me involved in the game which meant that I ended up having a bit of a frustrating evening.

Great way to play soccer without having to gather 10 amigos, instead BAFA gathers 10 amigos for you!

Luckily I had the opportunity to spend time with BAFA for a short period. Anne and the BAFA clan are more than awesome individuals, and always do the best they can to provide a welcoming time and great experience for any expat, student, traveller, or porteño. I had never played fútbol before, but I would always sub-in whenever I had the chance. Anyone can have fun playing with BAFA. They provide for a great taste of the sport of fútbol, as well as of the food of Argentina through hosting competitive matches and various social events, particularly asados. What a great way to make friends, have a great time, and appreciate the game of fútbol. Buena onda sólo en BAFA. Highly recommend!

I had the opportunity to participate in BAFA's Cup of Nations tournament and after being here in BA for 5 years, I have never seen a more organized event put together by super fun people like I did with at at this event. They helped me find a team and put on a great BAFA friends after event that allowed us all to stay in touch after the tournament! New friends and Futbol, can't go wrong with these guys!
