The price is $90 cash or $120 card pp, which is very high for prices in Argentina so was expecting a wonderful experience. The price includes food & drink and hotel pick-up. Their driver picked us up at 8.40pm and got us there for 9pm. So only 1 hr before the start. Due to this the meal was rushed and only had 2 drinks before the show and there was a small gap in the show where the waiter served A drink after being flagged down. No bottles of wine left on the table! I had beer which was poured as 1/2 pint. The meal was average. If you want to socialise the place is great as you can just about get a piece of paper between the tables.
The show itself was wonderful with some amazing dancers. However, as soon as it ended (and I mean as soon as) we were all ushered out to get our respective mini buses. Our miserable driver didn't wait and we had to tell him to stop as we spotted 2 people who was looking for the bus.
Did we feel like cattle...YES. Would they have been so quick to get us out if the drinks weren't included in the price??
So for a show it was suburb, As an experience it was very poor.
As taxi's are very cheap, I would suggest you make your own way there, maybe get there for 8pm.

This was my second time visiting Café de Los Angelitos and I enjoyed it even more. The staff was again very welcoming and accommodating and the seating comfortable. The pacing of the food and the timing of the show was excellent. For dinner, I started with a stuffed eggplant which was very tasty and cooked to perfection. For my entrée, I had pumpkin ravioli which was quite delicious—I loved the marinara sauce. My dinner concluded with a simple, but decadent chocolate mousse. After dinner, it was time for the tango show which presented a variety of vignettes including group dancing, couples and several scene and costume changes. Of course one of the highlights was a show stopping performance of “Buenos Aires” from Evita. This is a great venue for enjoying an excellent dinner and tango show when visiting Argentina’s premiere city.

The food and service were mediocre and I felt like I was on an assembly line. What was really frustrating was we paid almost $500 for dinner and the show and showed up before 8:30 but had to wait over 2 hours for the show to begin. We were seated at the very back of the theater with people paying only a little more than half of what we paid sitting up close with better views. The place was warm and the seating was uncomfortable. Your making a big mistake if you go to the place and a bigger one if you pay for VIP. I was so uncomfortable and frustrated that it was hard to enjoy the show when it finally started. The talent was good when it finally came on but the wait really affected my ability to apréciate it.

In a back room the stage is lit and the dancers and singers put on a typical Tango show. Intense and wonderful. The wine and food Steak and the Malbec went perfectly. I recommend this for everyone kids and seniors.

I was very impressed with the show and dinner. We chose to do the VIP and was worth the money.. Picked up on time and dinner was the best comparing to downstairs food. We noticed a lot of food went back if you ate downstairs. VIP section was worth every penny spent with excellent food service. Had the best seats in the house as well. The show was very good with a live band that most shows do not have. Would recommend this VIP dinner show for sure.

I got picked up at my hotel (actually earlier than expected which is most unusual!) And had the meal before the show, it's a limited menu, average food but I was mostly there for the main event and the dancers didn't disappoint. I great mixture of tango styles, solo and group dances with live music and singing also. Transport home was very efficient so overall a good night.

My husband, daughter and I recently visited Cafe de Los Angelitos for the dinner and tango show. We purchased the VIP package which included a private car pick-up and return, dinner with champagne and wine, and a tango show. The theater is really beautiful and elegant. The service was friendly and quite fast. The meal selection was good, the meal itself was OK. We pre-ordered a vegan/gluten free meal which they assured me they could accommodate. When we reminded the waitress she seemed surprised. The dinner provided was basically the vegetables from the different courses, not a very good substitute.
The tango show was good, showing the evolution of tango through history. The dancers were quite good as we're the costumes.

Loved this tango show. I got tickets at the last minute, and I am so happy that I did. What a wonderful memory for my last evening in BA. The dancers were amazing and the theater is gorgeous. I would recommend this show to anyone interested in watching a tango stage production while in BA.

When you arrive you are immediately fed a huge meal. I chose the steak was ok. The tango was amazing. We were very close to front which was good. The dancers all seemed to take turns being the lead couple, many costume changes, very good.

We loved the tango show with dinner. The food was much better than I expected for a dinner/show experience. The dancers were excellent and the live musicians were very engaging. The venue was historic and very beautiful. Cafe de los Angelitos has been around since 1890 so it was great experiencing tango in such a historic place. We chose this venue over other more touristy and commercial venues and were very satisfied. We booked by calling their number directly.
