Javier is an excellent guide! Best sailing experience I've ever had. We did this on our first day and it was a great way to start our trip in Argentina.

Javier kept in constant communication prior to our trip to Buenos Aires (making sure the weather was agreeable for sailing, making sure we were arriving on time from our flight, and providing picture updates of scene). Prior to the trip we went through safety and a small history of the town and port and then we set sail with Javier... More

If your looking for an alternative experience in Buenos Aires, this is it. We managed to organise a trip out on Javier's boat at fairly short notice and met him at the Marina which is a short walk from the San Telmo market. After an excellent safety brief ;) and under Javiers experienced direction, my wife and I sailed our... More

The Best City Sailing ever! Half day trip in Rio de la Plata departing from Puerto Madero. It's one of the best things to do if you are traveling in BsAs and want to see the B-Side of the city. I did it traveling solo, and it was GREAT! Fun, music, some drinks and an amazing view of the city... More

We decided to spend our last day in Buenos Aires by taking a sail in the Rio de la Plata on Javier's comfortable boat. As the other reviewers have noted, Javier is a competent and accomplished skipper, and he made us feel very welcome and comfortable, with his friendly, smiling demeanour, and his great sense of humour. He speaks perfect... More

Agustin was a great captain on our adventure through the delta. We loved water skiing, learning about the proper way to enjoy mate and seeing the skyline of Buenos Aires from the water. We can highly recommend this experience!

I would highly recommend it - it was a great way to spend our last night in Buenos Aires for a group of friends celebrating a birthday. The crew was very knowledgable and accommodating to our needs, and easy to communicate with for a last minute booking.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
