Fun, friendly, family atmosphere at VOS! After moving to Buenos Aires in January with my girlfriend, we attended a months crash course in Spanish at Vos. The teachers and directors of the school were extremely helpful in getting us set up with our language skills and also practical advice about the city. You also get to experience the full BA... My friend and I joined 2 Spanish schools when we were in Buenos Aires and Vos was by far the best. The Teachers were very professional and allowed time for conversation on any subject that you wished. So we had time to discuss Argentinian life, culture, sports and politics with our teacher Pancho. Also there are a number of extra... More

I had a great time and our group was very small so that we could ask questions easily and cover things that we really needed help in. Some of the teachers were really excellent and better than others. I loved that we had assignments and handouts that really covered specific areas. The graciousness of the owners and their hospitality was... More

I could not recommend VOS enough! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. There are a variety of extracurricular activities (including tango and slang lessons) after class to practice your Spanish even more. I came here after taking Spanish throughout high school and for a year in college, although all that experience didn't amount to much haha. I came here to... More

I would fully recommend going to VOS if you want to learn Spanish learn in a great atmosphere. The teachers are nice and very helpful. They are also very accommodating for specific wishes: I wanted to split up my course between two stays in Buenos Aires and they kindly made it possible

I looked at many options before arriving in BA for my children to take 5 weeks of Spanish. Several places will teach children but it isn't really what they do. We are very pleased with this school. The staff is extremely attentive, helpful, kind and flexible. The school has an intimate, friendly atmosphere with group activities each day which are... More

I looked around at a couple of Spanish schools, but since I was choosing from the United States I did not have enough to base my choice off to make an informed decision. I ended up going to Vos and it is in a nice part of the city, it is a nice building and they did offer interesting cultural... More

What? Language school in central Buenos Aires. The Good: We did a lot of research beforehand and spoke to friends at different schools & got the impression we had a really good experience, relatively. Very good with emails before we arrived and on numerous other occasions subsequently went above & beyond (eg helping to change money, letting us print documents... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
