Premium Tigre Delta and San Isidro Tour from Buenos Aires

93 reviews
Swap the busy streets of Buenos Aires for the waterways of the Tigre River Delta on a day trip that’s ideal for first-time visitors. You’ll see a more provincial side of the region as you explore the cobbled streets of San Isidro. Plus, you'll escape the crowds on land during a canal cruise on the delta.

Really hip trendy basement bar Just off the main avenue in Buenos Aries. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we felt that we were treated no different to the locals. Cocktail menu was great and very reasonably priced compared to European standards. Plenty cheesy pop music to pop away to.

28/1/19 We three middle aged British guys were in BA in late January before returning to London. By chance the Hotel (Petit Suites) was quite close to this bar so we thought we would try it out. I popped by earlier in the day to confirm if it still was open (as often than not gay venues come and go or have unusual hours or days of opening). I found a near derelict entrance but the sign was still there. I returned alone (my friends being reluctant to join me at an unknown venue) at about 10 (on the last Monday of January) to find a quiet bar and I had just missed happy hour. The barman was very friendly and I asked about HH hours and he said they were still on for cocktails. I chose a 2 for 1 Negroni and he served the first time he promptly and asked if I wanted the other one later, yes I did! As the evening progressed the bar got busier with a mostly men crowd and I got chatting with the affable boss, Jamie, from Northern England who had made BA his home. He was proud that he offered an alternative bar to the (admittedly few) gay bars but he felt it important to be open early every day even if finishing late. He had no problem with the authorities as he was no problem to them. After my second negroni I phoned my friends using the bar wifi (there is no telephone signal in this basement bar) and they eventually joined me in further negronis. By then the bar was busy and we were not disappointed with this Monday night turnout. We eventually had to leave, being quite merry anyway, back to our hotel. I wanted to revisit the venue the next evening but circumstances meant that it was not possible. I wish I had timed it better so I could have.

A great little classy gay bar. Good cocktails, great service and friendly people... as it’s quite a cultural city it’s hard to find a gay bar open early; the scene is very cliquey so it’s hard to find but for the first timer or people on their own this place is perfect. Jamie has been great, he runs a great place and he’s lovely, luckily for us his English is great!

Just left the bar. On ordering my first drink at 19:45 (admittedly in English) I was told it was happy hour, so when I’d finished my drink and decided to move on, on getting to the stairs, I was called back to pay for my “second drink” in front of a small bunch of patrons. This was very embarrassing. This is, I’m afraid, the future for dingy gay bars which are really obsolete😔

Great cellar bar in downtown Buenos Aires. It opens every night at around 7:30 pm up till 3am. It can be quite intimate during the early hours (empty that is), so it's great to go with your date/hook up/wtvr and just cuddle on the dimly-lit sofas. It does get more crowded as the night progresses, though. The cocktail menu is exquisite and quite varied, to which they add seasonal drinks depending on the fruit available. They also serve "empandas" and "picadas" so you can eat something with your drink. The bar is very tourist-friendly as they speak English and Portuguese and they are very attentive. Music is quite varied and on Mondays and Thursdays they have guest DJs. There are monthly art expositions and the pictures are up for sale. I've been there quite many times throughout the years and it never disappoints, mainly because the drinks are superb and very good value, music is always great and service is attentive and (most often) quick. Don't miss it!
