Within minutes of arriving at Buenos Aires domestic airport prolonged and torrential rain turned our dream trip to Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian border into a nightmare.
The runway was flooded. The air traffic control system closed down and flights were delayed. Within an hour ours was one of many to be cancelled.
Lengthy queue built at information centres and checking desks. As time wore on hopes of a place on a later flight plunged towards zero at speed. It was all very depressing.
Out of the blue my wife’s mobile phone rang. It was Madi from BA Cultural. Concierge Tours, the travel company who had booked our early morning pickup, flights and a guide at Iguazu Falls.
The message was simple. ‘You have been re-booked on the 1.30pm.’ It was service, unquestionably, above and beyond the call of duty and the drawn out drama made the trip to the spectacular falls all the more memorable.
As indeed was our multi- lingual guide Giovanni, who the previous week had been told by an elderly American lady that she simply could not manage to walk up and down the steep slopes and wooden stairs on the approach to the breath- taking attraction.
Giovanni solved that problem by helping the old girl in to a wheelchair and pushing her up hill and down dale in a remarkable act of compassion that for me summed up BA Cultural Concierge Tours.
First class and caring service for all.

We had been so happy with Madi's touring services when we visited Buenos Aires a few years ago that we had her plan our entire trip to Colombia in March. She has an outstanding team there as well. In each city we visited, we had local, knowlegable guides who had wonderful ideas of activities tailored to our interests. Unfortunately, Covid-19 cut our trip short but they were so attentive to our safety and making sure we were able to return quickly to the US. Additionally, Madi was very gracious in refunding us every bit of prepayment that was possible. We will definitely be returning to Colombia to finish the trip (someday) and wouldn't think of using anyone than Madi and her BA Cultural Consierge team

Madi and the BACC crew once again made a trip to South America effortless and amazing for myself and my family. Last year they helped make a trip to Buenos Aires wonderful with great places to stay, friendly and knowledgeable guides, unique local adventures beyond the normal tourism, the best food - all coordinated with efficiency and ease for us to focus on our trip, not the logistics. We have been on boat rides, been serenaded on a delta, had private art gallery tours, rode horses in the mountains, taken bike tours, eaten at the best restaurants in South America (and the world), made empanadas on a ranch, etc. They develop great custom itineraries, on your budget, with as much input as you prefer, they accommodate funny requests and want to know what you want, adjust on the fly with a smile and are great communicators with an itinerary app and chat group. This year, they made a relatively last minute trip to Colombia one that we will never forget. The same service we received in Argentina was replicated for a trip to Bogotá and the coffee region of Armenia. I also referred a friend to them for his family trip to Patagonia and he reported back that it was spectacular and my experience w/ BACC was the exact same as his. Work with them. They're smart, cool and good at their job.

Traveled as a couple in March 2021. As Canadian residents of Argentina looking for a unique and safe trip during the ongoing pandemic, we entrusted Madi and her team with curating a trip to Ushuaia in accordance with local restrictions. We are avid travelers and are normally quite comfortable organizing our own holidays but wanted to remove the stress of planning during a pandemic. From the initial onset of the planning stages and throughout the trip, we had great communication with Madi and her team. She took the time to learn our preferences and travel style beforehand to craft a unique and thoughtful itinerary. We specifically requested “off the beaten track” adventures given that we have already traveled in Argentina quite a bit. She definitely came through! We wanted to not only travel to the end of the world but also see the non-touristy parts of Tierra del Fuego. We have never felt more in the middle of nowhere and would not have gone to some of the more remote parts of our trip if it hadn’t been for her suggestions and planning. Our trip to Ushuaia was unlike any other that we had heard of (from the numerous friends and family members who had already visited the area) and we were so pleased with the unique activities she organized. The helicopter ride through the mountains, a “canoe” ride (a small zodiac) in the Beagle Channel and exploring abandoned shipwrecks were highlights. All of our accommodations were lovely and special. She came up with a great balance of guided and self-guided activities throughout the itinerary. The local tour guides she arranged for us were extremely professional and responsive to our questions. One of the best parts of the trip was not having to worry about the issue of cancelations or complications – Madi takes care of everything for you! We have already recommended her to friends and would use her incredible planning skills again.

I just can't say enough about Madi and her team, Juan and Nestor. We were scheduled to spend a few days in Buenos Aires before a cruise to Antartica. Madi responded almost immediately to my online request, even though it was a holiday weekend. We didn't really know what we wanted to do. She provided this amazing itinerary including walking tours of Recoleta and also the southern suburbs, a private tango lesson and then an evening with our teacher and her husband followed by a visit to a real malanga. We also had an amazing private tour up the Tigre River to the private home of a famous bandoneon player (an instrument used commonly in tango music) and composer where we had a private concert on their deck overlooking the river...brought tears to our eyes! They arranged pick up at the airport and then drop of at the cruise terminal and also dinner reservations for the evenings we requested. Everything was seamless and even had some flexibility with our walking tour times which helped us recover from our long flight. We both said when leaving (knowing we were starting a 4 week Patagonia cruise experience), "If this was the end of our trip, we would have had an amazing vacation!"
THEN....our cruise ended in Chile and we had some previous tour arrangements but then contacted Madi who was able to work out an unbelievable private wine tour (for the 8 of us) to a specific winery one of our friends had been introduced to as well as another in the area.
I just can't say enough.....except we can't wait to go back and would not call any other travel group for anything. You will not be disappointed!

It was hard to choose a 'few photos' from a day where we put the camera down more than in our hands and just drank in the local culture. From the moment I booked this tour with Madi I felt special. She responded quickly, offered suggestions to all my questions ( and I had many)This was a family trip with our adults son, who we seldom see -- we had not been together, as a family for years. Madi, knowing this, worked on advising me of activities that would share conversation and include activities to keep us engaged on a common ground. From the moment Nestor picked us up, to the ride on the river, the freshly grilled fabulous steaks, the kayaks, all leading up to Ariel Hernandez sitting on his porch and playing his Bandoneon. He shared stories of tango, Argentina, and his life on the river. Nestor kindly translated all the stories he shared. This is a full day trip. This trip, this 'experience' is a VALUE for what you get in personal service, meals, wine, and a well executed very professional cultural experience.

Madi and her entire team were exceptional in planning our Foundation's week of contemporary art experiences in Buenos Aires. They exceeded our expectations by taking care of every last detail from transport and hotels to fantastic dinners and last minute requests. One experience to the next was seamless, well thought out and thoroughly planned. Her collaboration with local art collector Gaby led us to the most exclusive private collections and personal encounters with famous local artists. I would highly recommend BA Cultural Concierge for unique requests and discerning travelers.

BA cultural concierge was absolutely outstanding. I had to be in Buenos Aires for a 10 day business trip and so wished to see the country a bit for four days prior. I told Madi I want to visit Iguazu falls, Ushuaia, do a boat trip thru the beagle channel and hike a Tierra del Fuego national park oh and I needed to be in Santiago Chile for one night and day for a dinner. Madi after saying that might be to much and my insisting said ok let’s get you in the air. What a great time. Guides met me for personal hikes in Tierra del Fuego, boat ride theunthe channel excellent beautiful accommodations in Tierra del Fuego overlooking the snow capped mountain backdrop to the channel and then an insane superfun boat road INTO the falls at iguazu after a wonderful private guides tour in the morning of the iguazu national park. Everything went flawlessly which is all the more remarkable given COVID restrictions and Madi and her assistants were always there only a 20 second what’s app response away when I ran into a couple of glitches of my own making.

My wife and I spent a week in Buenos Aires and wanted to have an introduction to the city but in a relaxed fashion over multiple days. Madi was wonderful in meeting our needs. 3 tours of 3-4 hours each, with an emphasis on a different district/neighborhood each day, led by two terrific guides, Nestor and Hector.

We were met at our AirBnb and both guides were extremely knowledgeable of the areas we toured. To help maximize our time we took the subway, busses or taxis, but also walked over 5 miles each day. It was a wonderful way to learn about a city we had never visited, not only learning about buildings but the history of the city, its food, murals, and politics.

We also asked for help in covid testing and when our cruise was delayed, Madi was more than accomodating. I highly recommend Cultural Concierge for your visit to Buenos Aires.

Nobody knows how to let you experience the best of Buenos Aires (BA) while taking care of all the details for you better than BA Concierge. It doesn’t matter if it is history, culture, art, architecture, food, the tango, or the outskirts of their city, these guides know it all while making it feel like you are with a friend showing you their favorite city. The conductor orchestrating all of this is Madi Lang. I have used travel agents and concierges all over the world but she is the most detail-oriented, knowledgeable of all things about her city, and so responsive I think the phone is implanted. Her goal is to make your dreams come true and be hassle free no matter what comes up.
I contacted Madi in January 2021 as I was planning a trip to Antarctica since the pickup point was Buenos Aires during the pandemic. There were so many special requirements and she handled everything. Then the trip got cancelled so she had to cancell everything. But no fuss and all the money got refunded.
The Antarctica trip was rescheduled for February 2023. Based on my previous experience, Madi and I planned private BA city tours with a food and architecture focus and a side trip to Iguazu Falls in Brazil and Argentina. So much back and forth with suggestions, questions answered, details worked out. After all the planning, the experience was one of the best trips I have ever taken. I took two tours with Juan over 11 hours and a tour with Nestor for 6 hours. They were both amazing, interesting, educational, and personable. As a widow I felt safe and it was so much fun!!
I would go wherever BA Concierge would take me. Absolutely no reservations about Madi or her team. Get ready to have a wonderful time!
