This is a much delayed review for a visit made in Oct 17, but I still remember it vividly. I came with friends, as an already established polo player, to immerse myself in polo for a week Argentina style. And I certainly received that in spades. More polo than my body could cope with, surrounded by players who would happily take time to give me tips on a particular shot, ponies of varying standards to improve my riding, all in the incredibly beautiful setting of Ruben and Celia’s farm. The garden really is stunning, with magnificent old trees and incredible sunsets. The team made a real effort to make me feel at home. I would certainly recommend Argentina Polo Day for any player that might want to gain experience in the saddle in a very beautiful and peaceful environment. There are various accommodation options for both teams or individuals. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable trip.

We booked this trip not knowing quite what to expect. It ended up being one of the best things we've ever done. We arrived at the beautiful (truly breathtaking) polo ranch where we snacked on amazing empanadas and other local foods. We then watched advanced polo players in a match while learning all about the rules of polo. We then had an incredible lunch back at the beautiful main house. After lunch we grabbed polo gear and jumped on the horses ourselves (don't be intimidated by this as they thoroughly help with instruction before getting on the horses). We then played our own polo game with other travelers and polo players from the ranch. Overall, I highly recommend this experience. It was very well-organized and professional -- and SUPER FUN! P.S. Our primary guide Agustina was simply fantastic. She's so fun, friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

We visited twice La Carona Argentina Polo Day in December 2020, with a family group. It is a great experience! Very complete, you are welcomed with empanadas (traditional Argentinean turnover) as appetizer, then you watch an intense amateur polo game, followed by a delicious traditional asado. And now you are ready for the main activity: riding the horses to get familiar, practicing some shots, and finally an actual (simplified) polo game with your family and friends. It is a great experience! The horses are well trained and know the game, you do not need to worry about not knowing how to ride: we were in our family 8 persons, none of them rode horses before. Thus, the speed of your game will be much slower than the morning game by the amateurs, but still very exciting, funny and enjoyable.
A special thank you to our host Augustina, who took care of every detail, from polo rules to granting that the food was perfect, and specially that our polo game was funny and safe.
The location is beautiful, and appropriated for small groups, around max of 20 people. This is a great advantage if your group is in this size or smaller, compared with similar experiences that host much larger groups, losing the closeness and friendliness this experience may offer. In the first visit we were just us four, in our second visit we were 6 from our group plus another group of 5, but just our group played polo, making this a memorable family experience.

This is my fourth visit and there is a reason I keep coming back. This place is amazing. It was my girlfriend's first visit...she is not a horse rider and by the end of the stay she was riding like she had been doing it for years. The people, food, hospitality and horses are all fantastic! You can't miss this place for a truly Argentine experience!

What an epic day. Learning to play polo was amazing. Everyone was allowed to go at their own pace and instructors were on hand to provide guidance.
All equipment was provided.
Watching the polo match early in the day at close quartets was brillant.
Lunch was as much meat as you could eat with good refreshment.
Would recommend to get a real experience of Argentina

I went with my daughter in winter so it was just us doing the activity; but we weren't the only ones there that day because the location also functions as a polo club for friends of the owner as well as some paying members; and we shared lunch with the poly players. The players are extremely charming and friendly, and our guide, Agustin, was great and is very interesting to talk to.

The food was excellent (a grill), and we rode horses and played polo after a fashion-- we didn't have horse riding experience so of course we couldn't expect to do much more than hit the ball. We were quite tired at the end of the day.

For me personally, the most interesting part was talking to Agustin and the owner of the club, Rubin; he is a very well connected individual and has a lot of businesses in Argentina. There is much more of great interest that I could write here, for example about famous Argentinians who have recently visited the club, but I don't know how much of what he told me he would be happy to be repeated here so I won't share details. Argentina is very divided society, and you'll get a very different perspective from talking to the urban professionals versus the people connected to the countryside. Both sets of people are equally charming and friendly, but their opinions about where Argentina should be going as a country tend to be very different.

As you can see my main interest in the thing wasn't really connected to the horse-riding and polo aspect, but that was very interesting and cool too. At first our horses were a bit unco-operative because apparently horses can tell if you haven't ridden before and they know that they can get away with a certain amount of munching on grass which is what they naturally prefer to do. But after we swapped horses they were much better behaved and they went where we wanted.

If you’re going to do anything in BA, do this! I had not been on a horse in 50 years and my New Years resolution was “to feel the fear and do it anyway”! What an amazing day. German picked us up punctually. We were warmly greeted by Agostine on our arrival and were soon enjoying Malbec and charred empanadas. She was excellent at explaining the game and, in general, making us feel comfortable. The asada was delicious! So much food and copious amounts of wine! The liquid courage helped immensely in getting me back in the saddle. The horses were perfect! After a poor attempt at playing polo she then led us on a trail ride. I would highly recommend this outing to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Truly one for the memory book!

Agustin, our host for the polo experience on 26th Feb, was extremely friendly, polite and amicable. After driving for almost 2 hrs, we arrived at our destination and were immediately provided with the most delicious empanadas and wine. More wine was drunk whilst watching a very good amateur polo match with Agustin (himself a polo player) explaining the rules of the game - fascinating stuff!! We then had the opportunity of playing polo ourselves on retired ponies (but they were still very nimble) before feasting on an excellent Asado. Agustin, his team of polo players and his Asado cooks did an excellent job in providing this once of a lifetime experience for this city girl! I really enjoyed it (despite being really bad at playing polo as well as riding a pony). Nevertheless I would do it again in a heartbeat!

What a fantastic adventure! This didn't feel like a "tour", it felt like being invited to a friend's home; being invited to linger and explore, try new things, and meet new friends. To call Marcos a guide is too undersell just how friendly, fun and patient he is; taking care of us from the moment he picked us up in Buenos Aires, all through our polo lessons, Asado, and playing polo. Such a beautiful place with beautiful people! I would absolutely recommend.

A polo tour surrounded by breathtaking scenery, delightful people, and an exceptional experience overall! The picturesque landscapes provided the perfect backdrop to witness the thrill of polo, including the match and training. The warmth and camaraderie of everyone involved added an extra layer of enjoyment, making it an unforgettable journey. Toto took a great care of us!
