Es una bella construcción que comenzó en 1927 y terminó en 1928. El arquitecto encargado fue Eustaquio Ballester que le dio un estilo francés.
En la cultura general hay algunos que dicen que Baldomero Fernández Moreno se inspiró en el edificio para su poema "Setenta balcones y ninguna flor"
