This urban trail now has connector trails so you can hike up to 18 miles without doubling back. It has some elevation gain but nothing too strenuous. Parking is safe and free. There are nice restrooms in the parking lot.

This, as well as other trails, are controlled by the city of Marana and are excellent. The trails are narrow and a lot of up and down so take a walking pole [which, we were not smart enough to do]. You will be walking on...More

This is a beautiful place for a walk or hike. There are many trails that are of varying degrees of difficulty. It is located very close to the Ritz Carlton which is a great place to stop for drink after the hike.

The Lower Javelina and Wild Burro Loop Trail is a moderately easy 3 mile hike. It loops from the resort through the Wild Burro Wash and around the Wild Burro Canyon with views of the canyon and out to the Tortolita Mountains. Along the way,...More

This is a great hike from the Ritz hotel. Get a guide if you want to learn about the saguaros and other native plants. The uphill isn't too hard and it's easy to stop and take in the views. The downhill is a bit steep,...More

Enjoyed this trail but it was a bit tough to find. The beginning was easy but it became more challenging as we climbed. Some rocks were covered with sand, making them somewhat slippery. Next time I’ll bring a hiking pole

We have hike numerous trails in the Tortilitas and this is the easiest. However if you don't like walking in a sandy wash you may find some of the others more interesting. Be sure and take plenty of water, wear good shoes and walking sticks...More

The Wild Burro trail is the most popular trail in this park, but it's not my personal favorite. I prefer the higher Wild Mustang Trail. I hike up that trail and then descend down into the Wild Burro trail and hike back to the trailhead...More
