The pashminas dresses, drums and also entertainment and food is such a delight and it’s so busy you have to stay for a while. Very interesting market so enjoyVisited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 7, 2024
- bsinghGandhinagar, India304 contributionsInteresting - Worth a VisitIt is an interesting market which starts in the evening and goes on until early morning. There are stalls selling clothes , spices , toys , handicrafts etc. Don’t forget to bargain if you decide to buy something. There are also open air restaurants and bars. Besides , there is a stage where live music is performed. Worth a visit.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 30, 2024
- gobofraggleBrighton, United Kingdom2,060 contributionsNot what it used to be!Visited here in January 2024 & have to say it was such a disappointment. We last came here in 2012 with family & it is now a poor shadow of what it used to be. It has downsized & all the stalls were selling the same clothing, bags & questionable spices. There are food options available & a large bar area near the music stage. Haggle the vendors down as everything is overpriced! Keep your bags / wallets close to you in case of pickpockets. An hour is enough to spend here, not really worth the effort spending longer than that & we came away wishing we hadn’t bothered. Won’t be going back!Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 1, 2024
- Supriya43 contributionsHyped, expensive bazaar. Good for ideas on wats new in the Goa market. The bazaar starts around 9:30 & starts closing at1:30-2.Highly priced stuff, bargaining highly recommended. Has variety of shops with clothes, leather chappals, souvenirs, home decor, jewellery . Had 2 interesting shops one selling 3 D chimes & another selling dyed t shirts both quite unique.Live performance stage at the end of the entrance. Food stalls with standard menus.Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 23, 2024

Good place to buy dresses & gift items. Have to bargain a lot.
Food & drinks stalls are there.
There is a huge parking area. Taxi available.
Don’t forget to carry cash, many shops don’t accept online payment.

We were in Palolem and drove the 3 hours to come to this market because 7 years ago we were here and remembered how amazing it was. To start there are now 2 night markets and our driver brought us to the other one first, we walked around quickly and realized this was not the one we had been to before. Once we arrived at This one we realized we were at the same place except it was considerably smaller. We talked to a few vendors who explained that most of the foreign vendors have left and now do a bimonthly night market on Fridays. We were disappointed because we had remembered all the unique items we could buy. There are still some of these vendors there and we did buy some unique items, just not as much as we wanted. The food area was great and there was a live band that was decent. Plenty of Indian vendors so a good place to pick up last minute souvenirs, out of the 2 markets this one is more manageable and less crowded.

It’s amazing to see multi culture all on 1 platform. Good market to buy from. Good food, good music. There’s no question of getting bored because there’s so much to see.
Have been going to this market year after year when me and my husband visit Goa. It’s happening and consistent. I thank each one for making it so alive and vibrant 🤩

This a far cry from the crowded Friday night market (which is also fun in its madness).
The music is great. Really good bands. The stores are all boutique types. I bought some beautiful outfits. But these are not cheap like Friday night market. But yet really great. Almost every single store was owned by a European designer. No Indians.

Hello,
There's a clue in the name, Saturday night market. As the 10th is a Friday I doubt it but if you Google it there might be a web or email link so you can find out from the horses mouth. There is another market in Anjuna, a bit further up the coast that opens on a Wednesday daytime but as far as I know Clive's is only on the Saturday night.

Does anyone know what day in November 2019 the market will be open?
Written November 1, 2019
Usually, only God knows.
Only once all the bribes have been paid will it open. Last year it was delayed till after Xmas because licences & rent was raised too high.
Instead of encouraging these major tourist sites, they exploit them. Just like Club Cubana.
Goa is run by the Mafia
