Did this tasting/pairing today but sadly it did not impress. 2 of the 4 pairings worked, in my opinion. The 2 teenagers with us got their pairing with some grape juice but was charged the same price as the adults. Almost R500 for 4 tastings, 2 of which had no wine.
The price did not match the offering, not only were the cupcakes small, they were also not freshly baked. I will definitely not be recommending this tasting to anyone.

Delheim was a highlight of our visit to Cape Town. August introduced us to many of the delicious wines they produce. It was very hard to determine which wine I preferred. The Pinotage was one of the leaders along with the Chardonnay then the Rose.
Lunch was exceptionally delicious. And the wine pairings were perfect. We had the Pan Seared Line Fish and the Homemade Tagliatelle w/ Wilde mushrooms in Thai Coconut cream.
I have to thank Ilios Travel for selecting this winery for our winelands tasting - excellent choice.
I ordered several bottles before we left and once we got home I added a few more. Can't wait til they arrive so we can reminisce over our extraordinary trip to So Africa.

We went for a quick coffee and something sweet at Delheim. The cheese cake was exceptional.
We extended our stay and decided to do a wine tasting and the way it was presented, was magnificent. The host let us do a blind tasting that enabled us to taste the wine and not the perceived aromas on the labels.
Thanks for the great experience.

Possibly the best wine tasting experience I’ve had. Kenneth was outstanding.
He went the extra mile and gave us unrushed, knowledgeable and generous attention. He is an asset to the Estate. On top of that, we were served a truly delicious lunch next to a warm fire on a cold winter day. It was a delight to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful setting of the Delheim Wine Estate and we will definitely be back.

Always a pleasure visiting this farm. First time was for the cupcake tasting which was excellent!
Today we had some lunch which again did not dissapoint. Staff friendly and welcoming as always!
Big thanks to Siya our waiter for going the extra mile.
After lunch we craved their cupcakes which is beyond delicious and it was no problem for Siya and the kitchen to arrange this. Will most certainly go back.
Wine delicious, foods excellent, service and atmosphere great for a relaxing day out, and beautiful too!

Make sure you come in here. The Rose is just outstanding the lunch was more than good. Theresa, our waiter is easily running a marathon that day, I do pull my heat for such performance and will to provide the best service. Worth the journey.

Having lived in Switzerland for a number of years, I am a huge fan of fondues so could not resist suggestion by my wife to try out the Delheim's Sunday "live jazz and lunch" fondue that she saw in an advert. They run the event every Sunday over July and August, so were disappointed to hear that they were booked up on the only weekend that we were free. Our disappointment turned to delight when they rang us to offer us a cancellation. So off we went with huge anticipation.
Despite the location being in our GPS, I have to say that the last 3 ish kilometres were a "car challenge" with dirt tracks and a lack of helpful signs but we prevailed as did dozens of other cars clearly linked to the sellout status :)
A short walk took us to the building complex and to the cellar where the fondue is served. Adjacent to the cellar was a restaurant and wine tasting opportunity - also very busy.
We went into the venue and were led to our reserved places at an 8 seater table, in our cased shared with 3 ladies. The place was VERY busy with most tables seating between 4 and 6 persons. The servers were very friendly and cheerful.
The menu was an optional starter at around R65 each - we chose to share a platter (2 x Eisbein spring rolls and 2 x Samosas) - very tasting indeed. The fixed price main course (R240pp) consisted of cheese fondue pot, vegetables, parma ham, sirloin beef pieces and bread cubes - more than enough food to satisfy a big appetite and even then we asked for and were given some extra bread (I could not waste any of that delicious cheese fondue :) ). Of course there was wine available by the glass and bottle and we choose a bottle of their own Shiraz at R130. Dessert was offered at extra charge but we were truly full. We were there for just over two hours, we did wait for the food a while but given the capacity crowd tis was not surprising and the live Jazz band made sure that we were suitably entertained so the wait was not exhaustive. It was only on leaving that we realized that the promised glass of Gluhwein had not been delivered but this was the only fail. In all over aspects the visit was great and fully met our expectations.

There was really nothing to fault. Amazing lunch and the Vera Cruz Pinotage is seriously wonderful. The place is one of the benchmarks in the winelands

I last visited Delheim Wine Farm when my eldest son was 3 years old. 34 years later and the estate is still a delight, even though it has lost some of its "Olde Worlde" charm - to be expected I suppose.
The drive to the farm alone is magical - get there early in the morning when the light is soft and the air still cool and moist - you will not be disappointed. The Delheim wines have stood the test of time - the young staff are helpful and full of passion for hat they do. I hope my next visit does not take another 30+ years to happen.

After an excellent lunch, we ordered wines to be shipped to Europe. Although they guaranteed everything would be arranged, nothing was shipped and delivered. After sending multiple reminders, no response was given nor repayment was done.
Extremely disappointing so please do not order any wines at Delheim to be shipped
