I took my husband to Remhoogte wine estate for his birthday as I heard that they had craft beer for tasting. As we entered the tasting room there were staff in a kitchen area and we heard them sigh and mumble in irritation. We ignored them as we just wanted to have a good time. So we asked about the... If you are nearby stop for a wine tasting. The estate offers a nice scenery and some animals - good for a longer break.

I was told about their amazing cab, while very rustic it was worth the trip. I found the staff informative and the surprise of wild animals a treat for the kids.

We decided to try Remhoogte after we had enjoyed one of their red wines some time before and for the recently opened craft brewery. It's a beautiful location. The challenge was the service. As local people trying to support local we were made to feel like we did not matter at all. Foreign tourists tasting the wines and observing the... More

Dear Sir, I am truly sorry for your experience here on our estate, as a family owned and run establishment we pride ourselves on service by offering an informative tasting experience. There were a few days between Christmas and New Years where we were a bit overwhelmed with visitors and should have been better prepared. We only have the three... More

With over 150 vineyards in the area, we were lucky that our tour operator chose this vineyard for a visit. Its set in lovely grounds with Zebras springboks etc running around the fields. The five wines we tasted were all served with a separate piece of different cheese, which was meant to compliment the wine. I found the white wines... More

Remhoogte is special. This gorgeous wine farm is not only home to lovely wines, but also to zebras, springbok, and a bunch of sweet wine farm dogs. We spent the afternoon on the Remhoogte patio enjoying the zebras and sipping wine. I treasure our afternoon here and will definitely return.

Visited this winery as part of an organised excursion around the Stellenbosch vineyards. We were greeted on arrival and immediately given an informative talk about the vineyard, its history and products etc. The vineyard specialises mainly in reds with a Reserve Range and an Estate Range depending on your tastes, budgets and preferences. Grapes used tended to be either varietal... More
