The views from the lodge are amazing. The wine tasting is very reasonable price wise but fantastic taste wise ! Lunch platters fabulous. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Trophy room has replicas of all of Ernie's main trophies and log / photos of his career, well worth visiting just for this for any golf fan ! try the chipping mat to the green in front of the lodge - great fun !

My first visit to Ernie Els wine farm. I send all my international clients there and decided it was time to visit it myself. After a very good welcome drink, we enjoyed the amazing scenery. Lunch was good with average prices. We chose to remain with the ‘welcome drink’ wine which was priced very well. All in all, excellent service at average prices. I look forward to visiting again.

We visited Ernie Els wine estate for my husbands birthday. Lunch was served outside and the view is spectacular. We were given a welcome drink when we arrived and shown to our table where our waiter explained the food and wine menus and his recommendations. We ordered the mussels to share as a starter which were incredible and then the rack of lamb and venison as our main courses. The meat was great (if a little cold by the time it was served) and the presentation stunning. Due to the fact the wine estate was closing early for a private function, we opted to combine our meal with some wine tasting and our waited was quick to explain the options and provide the tasting notes for each wine (which were sizeable tasting portions!) Finally we were then suprised with a special gift for my husbands birthday from the team which was an incredible gesture! The estate also has a large outside bar area for those just wanted to taste the wine selection (which are mostly reds) and a small putting green for some entertainment! One of our favourite wine estate experiences of the past week in Stellenbosch... a beautiful venue in a stunning location with good service. We will definitely return on our next trip to South Africa.

Our family group of 5 went on a day trip to Stellenbosch and Cape Town and our guide Dillon organised a table here for us for lunch and wine tasting. We’re so glad he did. We couldn’t fault anything. Delicious food, great service and the wines we tried were excellent. As golfers we enjoyed having a walk through the trophy room and having a hit on the terrace

An amazing experience encompassed with great food, nice views, good music and a little touring around. Service was of high quality from parkings to opur preferred place of sitting. It was a unique experience that there were games that gave an opportunity to get more free wine, let alone that I did not win :)

There is a new chef for this season, the menu has changed somewhat The menu is quite small but there always used to be a few daily “specials”, both starter and main course. No starter special on offer and one additional main course. We both had the mussels to start which were surprisingly (to us) served as a cold dish. Ok, but would not order it again. My wife is Pescatarian but the fish of the day was Yellowtail which neither of us are fond of. However she was offered a Vegetarian option, not on the menu, Cauliflower steak, which was excellent. I had the Kudu which was also excellent, as were the side dishes, perfectly cooked and presented. The Estate wine is good and great value and the venue is very special and worth a visit in its own right. Service as ever was excellent We have eaten here many times and will certainly return, already booked. Not our best visit but more down to our individual tastes rather than the quality of the food/experience. Detail provided as information for others, not a criticism. Was our favourite venue last summer and will probably be again this year

It was a very nice experience to had lunch in the restaurant for 1st time. Coming often to enjoy the view and having a cheeseplatter, it’s always amazing after the renovation past years! The food and wines are incredible and the service was perfect as usual. We mentioned why are the mussels served cold🤔it’s not nice and please consider about or give two options! We can recommend the beautiful place and come definitely again soon!

Great place for an excellent lunch. We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday with friends at Ernie Els Restaurant. Great food, and great wines to accomplish. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Unfortunately a restaurant where you have to book weeks in advance due to it's popularity and quality.

We had a wonderful evening again at Ernie Els. The reception, the waiter JC, the food and the ambiance was exceptional. It is a privilege to have a visit/meal here. The Cabernet Sauvignon and the food is really awesome. And your evening is complete when you are served by the very professional waiter JC.

I have been to 10 countries this year and eaten at many restaurants but Ernie Els for me wins the 10/10 for the best meal of 2023. The service, the view, the ambience was peaceful (we could actually have a conversation without shouting ) the decor , the wine and to top it off the food was all extraordinary brilliant. Well done to the whole team for making it a memorable experience
