About
Exceptional handcrafted wines with unparalleled views. Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards, as high as 620 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain Range, nestles against the Helderberg Nature Reserve. With breathtaking views over False Bay and Table Bay, often wrapped in clouds, a cool climate, sea breezes, a granite foundation and strong minerality of the soil, enhanced by acres of fynbos... nature does her work. Uva Mira - The Wonderful Grape.

    Superb service, great wines!
We found this winery almost by accident as the nearby restaurant we'd hoped to eat at was fully booked. On the day we arrived the wind was howling so all tables and chairs had been brought in meaning that we couldn't eat her either. Nevertheless, the charming, friendly and articulate young waiting staff allowed us to stand at the counter and served us a superb wine flight - despite being hugely busy they were generous with their time and we ended up having a great stay, we'd definitely return on our next visit.

Wonderful Location , worth a visit
We sort of stumbled across this place, having heard of the wine but not really knowing where the estate was located. It is some 650 or so meters above sea level on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains. They offer a wine tasting and some light food, but we decided on this visit to only have coffee which was excellent but will definitely return for a tasting at a later date.

    Hidden Gem of the winelands
Uva Mira has a wonderful location at the foot of the mountains. The wines are subtle but delicious. You can see a true craftsman's hand in the making of the wines. Can definitely recommend a visit. True Hidden Gem!

    Stunning wine estate
My wife and I spent today tasting wines and enjoying a cheese and charcuterie platter at Uva Mira. This estate is one of the highest in Stellenbosch and you can see Table Mountain clearly from the wine tasting area. If you visit Cape Town or you live in Cape Town, do yourself a favour and visit this wine farm. The wines are world class and they won the award of best chardonnay in the world in 2004. The platter was one of the best I have had and all the product is locally sourced and artisinal. The baguette bread is sourced in Somerset West and is flown in from Paris frozen, absolutely stunning and makes the platter.

Probably the best Cabernet Sauvignon & Chardonnay
Stunning location & views - see the False Bay and Cape Point from the tasting rooms. Excellent team and service from tasting to deliveries. Wine quality is on the different level, sets the standards which are rarely found in such great wine making country.

    Up in the clouds
Uva Mira is an elevation experience. High up in the clouds (up to 620 metres above sea level and just 9km from False Bay) means the senses are tested on another level. The drive up, past icons like Ernie Els and Hidden Valley, tests the commitment of the loud machine as we snake our way to the the most scenic views of False Bay. The reward is friendly staff wanting to impress you with the wines they proudly present. Worth an another visit just for the location. xxx Mr Davidson

    Amazing wine, spectacular view!
I had an amazing time here! The two people serving amazing and so knowledgeable! I travelled to Cape town and Stellenbosch on my own and they were so helpful with suggesting things to do. The wine was delicious, the service spectacular and the view was unlike anything else. I did the three wine tasting but sat there for ages just soaking up the view and atmosphere. I was told that bookings are essential on a weekend! The lady serving me (I cannot recall her name sorry) recommended I visit Pajamas and Jam for late lunch and it was amazing!! Such a lovely afternoon and I will recommend it to anyone who says they are visiting cape town or Stellenbosch!! Thank you!

    Off the beaten track
We were lucky enough to have been recommended the vineyard by a fellow traveller and we were not disappointed by the experience. The drive up to the vineyard is simply stunning and the views are spectacular. All the team we came in contact with were welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable and their passion for the wine was infectious. Sadly , we had limited time to fully appreciate all the wine, however the 2 we tasted with a meat and cheese board were delicious. We would definitely recommend a visit.

    Sensory delight
A sensory experience not to be missed. The area is beautiful, and Uva Mira does justice to this with well-tended grounds and mind-expanding vistas. We did not have a meal, only a wine-tasting, but received excellent service from the young Divan. He is knowledgeable and enthusiastic: a true asset to this establishment.

Well, its quite a climb to find this winery but the views, service and wines are worth it. We popped in on our way toa lunch reservation "nearby" so had time for only a quick tasting, next time we'd consider staying for a platter.
The wines were lovely, the views breathtaking and all the staff were utterly charming.

Spent 4 hours sampling wines and cheese platter at this wonderful boutique wine farm. Location is stunning with views of the sea to one side and mountains to the other. Staff are very knowledgable and hospitable. And the wines must be the best I’ve tasted. Highly recommended

The views from the restaurant down to the coast are phenomenal. We’ll worth visiting just for that, however, loved the wines as well. Shiraz was particularly enjoyable with food. Thoroughly recommended, and make sure you book in advance.
