Situated on the slopes below the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of South Africa's most famous wine region Stellenbosch. Our vineyards are commonly referred to as the Home of Chenin Blanc, and we have numerous awards and accolades for chenin as well as some of the finest Rhone Blends in the country. Come and meet the dogs, horses, geese and ducks as you relax under the shade of the oak trees with amazing views and wonderful wines. The tasting room is open 6 days a week and lunches and dinners are available at 96 Winery Road. Good wine and beautiful spot - and a wine dog!

Another great stop (I don't think we had a bad one in SA wine country!). We were the only two people there on this late morning. The wine was quite nice. Unfortunately, the... read more

I'm not sure why I've never visited this winery. But I'm so glad I eventually visited on a beautiful spring day. I was there primarily to try the different Chenin's, as of course Ken Forrester is the master of Chenin! However, the very friendly lady in the tasting room, persuaded me to try much more! The highlight was definitely the... More

I had the joy of experiencing one of Ken's Chenin Blancs in Chicago. From there, I was connected with Ken Forrester Wines to help me better understand S. African wine during my visit to Cape Town. From Alette who so kindly and generously offered to help us plan our wine tasting adventure in Stellenbosch and Franschoek, to the superb, open... More

This was our favourite of all the tastings we did during our recent visit to the area. Very friendly people and a gorgeous location in the garden for tasting. Very relaxed and relaxing. The wine was excellent and so was the cheeseboard and freshly made butternut soup. Highly recommended.

Six tastings for R60 waived if you buy 2 bottles was really great value considering some of the wines are crazily priced. The wagu beef droewors is also yummy if you're peckish... Although an unplanned stop it was worth it and the team working there were very friendly.

Gosh so disappointing to be treated like a complete inconvenience when we arrived for a tasting at 3pm. Beautiful venue and exquisite wine.

We have been before some years ago so we decided to make a return visit for tasting. In the morning sun of Autumn the outside tasting area was very pleasant. The host was a pleasant young man who had a good knowledge and manner. As ever, wine is a personal matter but we were found some very nice ones and... More

Another great stop (I don't think we had a bad one in SA wine country!). We were the only two people there on this late morning. The wine was quite nice. Unfortunately, the woman pouring was just filling in and didn't know anything about the wines. They had a sweet dog named Max. We ended up purchasing a couple bottles... More

Went to estate for wine tasting. Had the platter with the wines. Absolutely fantastic. Would recommend to all who do not have the time to visit large number of estates.

Water tinkles from a fountain in the background, repurposed shipping palettes and wine barrel lids form the tables, bright primary-coloured cushions are artfully propped on the chairs - and contemporary artwork (for sale) hangs on the walls. And that's just the outside... wait until you head into the tasting room! The welcome is warm: there may even be a friendly... More

We didnt plan to stop here but on the spur of the moment decided to visit this winery. The setting where you taste the wine is lovely. The service was very friendly and welcoming. We loved the wines and bought some home for special occasions. Highly recommended.
