Description:

The exclusive winery of Peter Falke is nestled against the majestic slopes...

The exclusive winery of Peter Falke is nestled against the majestic slopes of the Helderberg mountains in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands, South Africa. Groenvlei Farm is home to rambling magenta bougainvillea, delicate scented roses and wild lavender growing alongside carefully cultivated vineyards.

Dating back to the 18th century, the traditional gabled Cape Dutch buildings of the wine estate belie a contrasting modernity within. The stately old homestead is partnered by a "boutique" winery, contemporary wine tasting room and luxurious outdoor lounge which have established Peter Falke Wines as the most elegant and serene sundowner retreat in the winelands.

Owner Peter Falke and his better half, Daniele Gortz, invite you to enjoy the exceptional wines that reflect their lifestyle, cultures and personalities.

A great location to meet friends and just chill. The views are breathtaking. It is a wine estate so don't expect to find beers or ciders on the menu. The nachos are filling and delicious. A popular winery so arrive early or make a reservation.

We recently took a trip to the Western Cape to do some wine tasting and find the perfect wine for a wedding. My sister and her fiancé came from Malaysia and required our input. We ended up going to so many estates and we were recommended to go to Peter Falke as it was a Sunday and every other winery... More

One of our fav places to visit over the weekend. The best place to enjoy a great bottle of wine with some complimentary nuts and olives outside on the lawn. Do yourself a favour and order the nachos or cheese platter. Great vibe, wine, food and service!

Multiple visits still prove that it is a great place to relax with a glass of wine. On sunny days it is a great wine tasting option as it has beautiful views of the mountains, a relaxed environment - bean bags to relax in on the grass, and good service.

The best nachos in Cape Town, probably the best views too... A relaxing, magical ambience. A lovely picnic spot and children friendly too.

Just salads, charcuterie and cheese platters and wine. Simple but fresh tasty salads and and an excellent selection of fine charcuterie and cheeses tastefully and elegantly served. We tasted a superbly fresh Sauvignon blanc but settled for a glass each of an elegant red blend and a chilled Pinot Noir. Great wines, great light lunch, warm friendly service. Lovely visit.

Glad we popped, had two very well presented platters of cheese and meats. Wines were not to my taste, but the setting is lovely. Not the friendliest staff I have encountered and painfully slow if you just doing snacks and tastings - and want to be in and out in an hour which was the case with us. Perhaps understaffed?

Great for any occasion. Staff are friendly and well trained. Food is good and the wine is cold. Great to lay on the grass and listen to the jazz :)

This was our third wine tasting of the day and we really didn't have time to do this location justice. We just did the short tasting, but with the relaxing lounges and a menu that had a tempting selection of meat and cheese platters I can well imagine spending a relaxing hour or two here sampling more of the excellent...
