A lovelly reserve to hike and walk in. Go as a group to avoid any problems with beggars etc. A great place to walk to is the waterfalls. Take a day pack and the kids, it is nit a hard walk.

The Reserve is in a much better condition than a few years ago. It has recovered from a recent devastating fire, and it was refreshing and exhilarating to drive the circular route and take some pictures. Next time I am going dress appropriately and walk...More

The Reserve offers wonderful hiking and biking trails with rock pools, waterfalls and a marvellous diversity of proteas and other indigenous plants. One direction circular dirt road approx 7km, not very good - bumpy, stoney and muddy!

A peaceful setting between the mountains. Perfect for hiking, running or cycling. Do the 10km circular route or the various trails. A hike to the first waterfall is easy and beautiful - take a picnic basket and enjoy the lovely surroundings. Drink clear mountain water...More

A peace of heaven set between the beautiful Stellenbosch mountains. Always fresh water to get along the way. The water actually tastes like honey...you can't get fresher as it comes straight from the mountains.

Excellent destination for all those that feel after all the food and wine in and around Stellenbosch a little walk/hike would be in order. We walked to the second waterfall, which with my 62 year old mother took around 2 hours return. The path could...More

Lots of routes to choose from. Scenic with plenty of water along the way. Head for the higher contour paths to make the most of the views.

At the entrance they will provide you with the map that has all the info, and the people are knowledgeable about the time it takes. Second waterfall is a bit small but nice nonetheless and is in a river ravine which is about... More

Hi - that totally depends on their individual state of fitness. There are several different tracks you can hike or just drive the circular route by car and get out at different points to stretch your legs. They will... More
