Autumn may not be the the most spectacular season in which to appreciate the gardens, however I can see through the lack of colour. As a Botanical garden I found it difficult to find the rationale on which the gardens were set out.. Bonsai, glass houses, fruit and veg, and a water garden were clear enough but the other areas... Good day, Thank you for your review. We are really sorry to learn about your disappointing experience but we are confident you would have at least been a little more positive in your review if you got to see the garden at more than merely this one point in its long and rich history. We would like to think that... More

What a special place in the middle of Stellenbosch. very old gardens and beautiful old trees creating an amazing piece of tranquility. I have enjoyed viewing the bonsai collection, some are really old and huge.

I visit the Botanical Gardens everytime I visit Stellenbosch. They change around the sculptures often and really look after the plants. I love just sitting under the trees to relax and think. I also enjoy their restaurant area when wanting to treat a friend to coffee. A definite must to nature lovers.

This is a small garden but its very pleasant nonetheless. There is a lovely lilly pond which is a tranquil spot to sit and admire. There is also a very nice bistro in the garden which is worth going to in and of itself so if you are looking for a nice location for afternoon tea this is a really... More

Situated near the towncentre. Entrance free. There is a restaurant and a nice shop in the garden in the Garden. Fantastic place to take a walk on a hot day. Lots of shadow lots of water. The collection of bonsai trees is amazing and so is the collection of waterlillies. We spent 2 hours meandering through the garden enjoying the... More

The collection of Bonzai trees is unique. You will also find great water ponds with a great variety of beautiful water plants. At the end of our stroll we loved the cake and coffee on the terrace amidst all the greenery

Came across this attraction while walking about. Beautiful, we'll kept gardens. Lots a plant variety, the largest display of bonsai is a must. Probably not many flowers in bloom due to time of year, but still worth while.
