Going at the end of June, we found it pleasantly not crowded on a beautiful sunny day. We did the VIP TOUR and several animal encounters; lemurs, cheetahs & the cheetah walk. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Animals are well cared for and the enclosures are clean. Walking with the Cheetah was the highlight for us although I'd wish... More

We visited here the evening we arrived in Oudtshoorn on recommendation from the hotel concierge. We wanted to see a cheetah as we didn't get to see one on safari. We're very glad we went. Lots of interesting animals to see up close and very friendly and knowledgeable staff to give a tour. You can also have a choice of... More

Oudtshoorn is no longer an overnight stop on a long journey, but a destination in it's own right, with the Cango Wildlife Ranch being one of the main attractions. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the animals and conservation. And it shows in everything they do, and say. An amazing visit! We will be back very soon!

Wendall was an excellent guide and we even learnt that a group of flamingo are called a flamboyance or a pat. Great to see a place really focussed on conservation. We didn't even know vultures are endangered. Well worth the money !
