Went around 12pm, on the 11km... the road was graded but pretty easy, and we did in a normal saloon car. The final turnoff onto the property for the last 600m where to pay. The light was on the waterfall... there was a snake around the lower pool..by the tree... but there was water coming over the top. Nice.. glad I went, though would not return unless with other who had not been.

Nice location. You have to drive a few kilometers on a gravel road to get there. They open the gate to get into the area at 09:00 o clock. The price is R100 for a vehicle with no more then 5 people. Further you drive 2,5 KM and then you have to go for 15 min. to get to the Waterfall. In the middle of nature a nice place. The R100 is worth to pay.

This is a beautiful place to visit but I’m amazed how few reviews mention the treacherous drive to get there! The sign from the maim road says 11km to the site. That’s just to get to the pay booth (70 Rand per car) - there’s another 2.5km to the “car park” - a bit of open space before the track to the fall which is about 10 minutes away. The first 3 or 4km from the main road are ok but then you hit the dirt track which as I’ve said earlier is treacherous. It narrows down as you get nearer the waterfall and in many places is only wide enough for one car. I found it easier coming out as I could see the massive dust trails ahead being left by any cars approaching me. We were fortunate in that we only went past 4 cars in total and on each occasion I was able to squeeze over to one side to safely let the other vehicle through. But if you met someone where there isn’t enough space to pass I’m not sure what you would do - you won’t be able to reverse as you’ll be unable to see out of your dust covered rear window unless you have a rear wiper. But once there the waterfall is a beautiful sight to behold. There is not a lot of space at the base so don’t plan on having a nice relaxing picnic if you happen to choose a day when there are lots of visitors.

Nice short walk to get to the waterfall, not difficult to get there at all. They should just put a bigger sign up to show where the waterfall is and maybe just tell people on Google that you have to drive on a gravel road, since we looked on Google to see what's there to do in oudtshoorn. Would definitely recommend to stop there ! So peaceful
