We had an ostrich walk which was absolutely brilliant, so interesting and told with real love and care for the birds. We decided to have a drink and cake as it was a bit early for lunch, the cheesecake was huge and delicious. The best bit was the friendly, wonderful people, they were all delightful.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 28, 2023

She’s so grateful and you’ll be amazed how quickly she drinks it. You can then feed her mum, Sheila with a branch. She devours it all. Experience unbelievably cheap but totally memorableVisited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 19, 2024

Very disappointing tour with a nice but not very well informed guide. We walked around and saw the few ostriches they have and we’re done in half an hour.
We redid a tour 2 days later at Safari, which we can highly recommend and came in at half the price we paid at Chandelier.

Lets start with the positive, we loved our experience of feeding Shirley the 4 year old giraffe. It is alway so special to be able to get up close and personal with animals you would not normally encounter.
On the negative, staff are rather unfriendly and you do not feel welcome. The "guide" that assisted with our giraffe feeding did not interact with us at all until I started asking questions. Friendly helpful staff will go a long way in how a guest perceive Chandelier.

We arrived much later than planned so missed most of the experiences but arrived in time to bottle feed the Giraffe. We weren't given the most welcome greeting. The Giraffe was kept alone and in what appeared to be a small area and was pacing the whole time we were there. I thought it was because it was near food time but it carried on after it was fed. There wasn't any tall trees for it to feed from so it was supplemented with hay. I didn't like that and wouldn't return. However my experience was very limited so may be unfair. I still think there is much better places locally though.

This was a great experience. From the moment we arrived, we were received in the parking area by our guide, Jaco, who assisted us throughout, from checking in until we left. The tour was very informative and interactive: standing in eggs, sitting on the ostrich, etc. The lunch was very delicious. The feeding and petting of Sheila, the giraffe, was an awesome experience. This farm is definitely worth a visit. Thank you guys for a memorable experience

We were here for the giraffe encounter and were able to feed Sheila the giraffe her current favorite plants.
They don't feed them bottles anymore, at 8 years old she's too grown up for that ;)
We were given a very nice welcome and looked after.
For us/with small children it was perfect. We registered in advance, arrived on time and 5 minutes later we got the food and the giraffe came straight away, ate enthusiastically and at the same time very relaxed, let us pet her and take pictures of her and then relaxedly walked back to her "normal" food.
A short, very nice activity that didn't cost us much money or time, but provided great memories.
With older children, longer game drives would certainly be a good idea, for us it was a highlight. The gift shop was also nice and not as expensive as it often is.
We didn't eat anything except packaged ice cream on a stick, so I can't say anything about that.

We booked in here to as a stop off and to break our drive up.
It was a lovely big apartment with plenty of space. There is load shedding in the area so be aware of power outages.
The restaurant was nice we had a lovely meal and the staff were all lovely.
It’s nice also see a few animals at the restaurant during our stay.
I would say just double check what is included and not.

Loved this place. Friendly, intimate and in our opinion just brilliant.
Travelled here from Norway with our 10 yo twins and it was perfect. Glamping - check! Close encounters with giraffes - check! Ostriches - check! Well, this was the headliners but everything was just amazing, beautiful scenery, birds, dogs, goats and of course ostriches! This place is perfect!
