Not for the nervous. Can be scary, very narrow in parts, if it has been raining definitely stay away unless you are an experienced 4 x 4 driver. Fabulous scenery, when you have time to look whilst gripping the steering wheel. Never ending up and...More

What a great way to view the forests, see some great places and maybe stop for a picnic or a braai. Very clean areas to stop over and all attractions well marked.

This is a beautiful drive. Be sure to fill up beforehand. Chat to some locals and stop at the local 'padstal' for some coffee and cake.

Ok so we took this road as an alternative route from Knysna to get to the R62 on our way back to Cape Town. We didn’t want to go back along the main coastal road as we had been staying in Knysna for several days...More

A truly incredible pass with breathtaking scenery. Although not tarred and slightly hair raising at one or two points for the more feint-hearted, it’s well worth the journey and is a must do for those more adventure inclined!
