I enjoyed this bustling harbour, with all the shops and restaurants to visit and sample food at. It's also one of the few places wiht Free WiFi, which is a plus when the guest house you're staying at has no wiFi.
Waterfront in Knysna is a small but pleasing place to roam around, shop local artefacts souvenirs and gifts, and dine in one of the several restaurants, serving local delicious food, specially fish preparations. Several hotels situated on the waterfront provide comfortable accommodation.
Nice views from restaurants, but it needs a bit of an upgrade/revamp. Not much variety on offer, especially if you're looking for alternative, healthy meal options. It's great if you're keen on water sports / activities [we were not].
A good enough assortment of shops, maybe a few too many T shirts, restaurants but the highlight was a not very well advertised boat trip round the lagoon when thanks to the excellent guide we learned a lot about Knysna and nearby Brenton on Sea....More
