Brenton-on-Sea is great for walking and sunbathing and is popular with paragliders. A big rock formation, castle Rock, is a favourite fishing spot for locals. Swimming is dangerous because of rip currents.

This is a must see as the ocean and beach just stretch for miles. Easy to get to from Knysna and enough car parking when you arrive. Short walk down to the beach and a great stretch of golden sand awaits. Despite the wind, it was just a great place to be so take a picnic and enjoy! Nearby public... More

Walk along the Brenton beach at sunset and catch the most amazing sunsets. The pristine beaches are beautiful and offer a very scenic walk or just a fabulous day at the beach with an awesome view.

Brenton-on sea is a beautiful sea near Knysna. We drove to this beach from Knysna and spent the day in a lazy slumber. It is clean and quite popular. The sunsets are stunning

Most amazing place to live. From most walkable main beach to many smaller alcoves and fishing spots, with stunning sunsets, friendly people and the safest destination on the Garden Route. Abundant bird life and bush buck all year round. Best climate on the planet!

Family of ours stayed here and the place they stayed was amazing. It had an amazing view. We visited them even though we were staying in George and went to the beach for the day. This is a Blue Flag beach, of which I liked the waves, security, rock pools etc. On the left of the beach is nice rocks... More

The drive from Knysna to Brenton on Sea passes Brenton on Lake and then the Knysna Heads. It is well worth the short drive from Knysna. Brenton on Sea is a beautiful, small and unspoilt beach village tucked away from the crowds. To the West lays Buffalo Bay. The best beach walk is from Brenton on Sea to Buffalo Bay... More

A must to...just check the tides. Never attempt it at high tide only low tide. We walked the 6km route along the beach in 60 minutes without any strain. It is beautiful along the route and much more enjoyable with the one you love or the friends chatting to you about the past and things to come. Before you know... More
