Always best to take the road less traveled as along this route you’ll find that there is a life beyond the city that has “slow-mo” written all over it and characters that create a stamp on your memory. The narrow route twists and turns through...More

The 7 passes drive from Knysna to George was one of the most scenic drives I have ever been to. It had great valley views and since the weather was quite good, we stopped a lot for pictures. Especially the bridges offered great photo spots.

We do this today going West As some have said the passes do t really have much of a view due to the trees. I'd not want to do it in a low clearance car. We enjoyed it, reminded us of the Swiss Alps, except...More

A lovely scenic, quaint meander along this passes road. " Map of Africa" also a must...a small detour from the passes road. There is a stunning view site from a hill of the river and terrain below that looks like the continent of Africa.

Pity I was the driver... as it meant I also had to watch the road, so could not fully enjoy all the scenic beauty. Tip 1: Use the turnouts to stop and enjoy the views. Tip 2: Rent a a motorbike to do the trip.

What a great trip to do. We drove from Knysna to George on the N2 and then traveled back via the 7 passes. Stopped halfway for lunch at Bistro Celeiro, which made this even more special.

Yes, it is a bit windy and rough in areas, but still would be negotiable in a small car.
