- Amy LauraCape Town Central, South Africa24 contributionsBreathtakingly beautiful viewsGOSH! Breathtaking views of Knysna, crystal blue waters and and and. There really are no words to describe how stunning the view is from atop. We stumbled across The Viewpoint as it wasn't part of our itinerary, but I'm so glad we did! Traveling tip: Always have your swimwear on hand when you're on the coast 😂. If you look down from the top, you'll see Leisure Island - take a dip here for me, please? (because we didn't get to 🥲)Visited March 2023Traveled with friendsWritten April 7, 2023
- Sarah CAshtead, United Kingdom1,167 contributionsStunning viewsGosh the views are stunning. And you also gain an appreciation of the power of nature with the waves crashing in and around the rocks. We drove up East Head and parked, wandering down part way, then drove back to take in the stunning scenery from sea level. The walks along the coastal edge are great too... especially in the beautiful sunshineVisited November 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten October 31, 2023
- KatherineManchester, United Kingdom273 contributionsBreath Taking ViewsThese views are breath taking, honestly colour of the water and the coast line is a most and can understand why it has so many reviews and is a must to do in Knysna. Its easy to walk round and only take a short amount of time. There is a little guesthouse open for drinks and food so you can sit and drink in the views of the lagoon.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 11, 2023

The drive up to the view point is awesome in itself. There is a short walk to the viewing deck but once you there it's eye candy.
The views are really stunning and make for awesome pictures.
It gets very windy at times, not very suitable for rainy weather.

Absolutely the most breathe taking stunning views on the Garden Route. Make sure to have a beer or glass of Chardonnay to toast the beautiful setting. The Feather Bed resort is an awesome trip to take to enjoy this view.

Best view a must to visit when you are in Knysna. Walk around and enjoy the view.
We drove up and enjoy the view from the top and then went down and walk around on the beach and read about the ship wreck from Germany. So beautifull

We visited here on a boat from the lagoon and went up to between the Heads. We then drove to the East Head and went to the café there. We visited the higher and lower sections and the views were amazing - loved the rugged coastline and crashing waves.

A lovely setting and whilst having been there a number of times it was most enjoyable amd the weather was also great. Watching a yacht come in through the the heads is fantastic but tha was not to be on this occasion.
Will be back again. We were at the lower of the two viewing points.

Difficult to find words to describe this impressively beautiful area!
Chrystal clear water, great for water sports such as water skiing, fishing, sailing, rowing, surfing and so forth. Beautifully situated self catering accommodation at the 'Under Milkwood Resort'. Very nice city center with all shops according to your needs. From clothing and souvenir shops at The Waterfront to mouth watering restaurants on Thesen island. All within easy reach!

The Heads can be visited either by land or by sea. Park at the East Head Cafe and experience The Heads by land along the various rocky paths and lookout points. One can also drive up to the Coney lookout point for a magnificent 360 degree view of the sea, Heads and Lagoon. Then visit East Head for a coffee, drink and meal. Seeing The Heads from the sea is even more spectacular. We have the privilege of owning a boat so visit The Heads by sea often. However, there are many charter companies that offer Heads excursions from the harbour or Cruise Cafe.

Obrigado.

We had lunch at the Waterfront at The Dry Dock. The oysters were fantastic and so was the steak.
