About
Drive up the Hemel-en-Aarde Pass and turn left towards the De Bos dam & around a bend, a low slung building appears on the horizon, perched on a sweeping landscape and anchored under a large tree. This is the Frame House. A wood and canvas structure housing the wine tasting room and picnic service belonging to Bosman Family Vineyards on their farm in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Hermanus. The Frame House is a refreshment station from which you can explore both nature and your place within it trough primarily our wine range tasting experience, complemented with a picnic service that we offer. Nature trails are also available at Bosman Hermanus where you can soak up the views, absorb the stillness broken only by the rustling bushes or soft bird call. At the top enjoy a 360º view of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. From there you can see all the way across Walker Bay to Gansbaai in the South and Hangklip in the West. Delicious coffee is available from our in house barista.

This was truly a great wine tasting. Great views, very good quality wines and a really good experience with Watson introducing the wines. Combined with an excellent and very reasonable cheese and charcuterie platter. Wonderful!

During a horse trail ride at Heaven and Earth Trails, our guide recommended a stop at Bosman Family Vineyards, across the road, to taste some wine. What a grand idea!
The tasting charge was 80 rand for 5 wines. We found comfortable seating and the young man serving us was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We ordered the cheese plate to nibble on and the quality and quantity of the 4 cheeses was excellent.
Probably the best thing was that as I was drinking a glass of their Sauvignon Blanc, I was gazing across the road at the vineyard that it came from!
The sleek, modern building was a visual delight and let in tons of natural light. We loved it!
One caveat - they do not accept cash - cards only!

Such a hidden gem. Magnificent Proteas on the walk up to the venue . Outstanding views. The wines were superb and Khali our Sommelier was brilliantly knowledgable, clearly proud of the estate and certainly a credit to them, All the staff were so professional and classy aswell as friendly. A visit not to be missed when visiting the H & A valley & Hermanus

Went there for lunch and for the live music. The woman who played the music could not be heard after a crowd came in and made a lot of noise. The waiter told us it was the owners after we asked our waiter to tell them to show more respect to the entertainer. We then just left because we could not stand the noise anymore. This place wil not see us again.

The weather did not help. It was cold, storming and raining that Saturday, mid summer, in Hermanus! So we “fled” to Bosman for a wine tasting and lunch. The wine tasting with no outstanding wines was ok and there was not much for lunch. Just some finger food. The explanation of the wines was a routine spoken so quickly that us nonnative speakers could not comprehend what was said. So probably sitting outside in the sun watching the fields and hills it will be a different experience.

We had only heard good things about Bosman’s in the Hemel en Aarde Hermanus so we gave it a try for Sunday at lunchtime. Well it was superb. It might be a little out of the way for some but what a great setting on the side of the mountain looking down the valley and the dam. Our waiter Watson made it even better for us, so knowledgeable and professional in his conduct. The menu choices are not numerous but what we ordered was so well done. I liked the flatbread with a trout topping best but the roasted Aubergine was also a favourite. They have a great selection of wine to choose from and the prices were very reasonable.
A lovely place to visit for wine tasting or a casual meal with good quality wines. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic tasting experience at this superb venue with awesome views of the Hemel en Aardt Valley and the sea!
Our host Watson was knowledgeable and friendly and guided us through some awesome wines.
The flatbread Sharnell and I shared for lunch was absolutely scrumptious and tasted like more. We had the Parma ham, mozzarella cheese, toaster cherry tomatoes and basil pesto. Superb flavours!
Well worth a visit for an awesome experience

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with friends. Ordered one of each of the sharing plates and all were stunning. Particularly enjoyed the flat breads, the crispy squid and the pork croquettes. Unfortunately the weather was terrible so there was no view. Must book

We visit the Hemel en Aarde Valley quite often, but had never heard of this little gem before. It was SO worth the short detour off the main road through the valley. Some of our favorite wines we've tasted in the valley! An unpretentious estate, very friendly staff - Nigel and Watson both knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful surrounds. Small menu of flat breads and cheese platters - delish. We'll be back!
