Driving up we saw many varieties of wildflowers and at the top a beautiful view overlooking Hermanus. Definitely worth the trip

Anyone visiting Hermanus must make a point of going up Rotary Way to see the town from all angles. It doesn't matter what time of the year, the views are terrific and if you stop at a few points you will see Walker Bay from a number of different positions. There are benches where you can simply park and enjoy the scenery and fynbos and if you are looking for a place to lose yourself from the madding world and escape reality, this is one of those places. It is a quick drive to the view-sites and a must not only for visitors but recommended as a place for locals to go to when life "at the bottom of the mountain" becomes too much and you need to grab some spiritual energy from the peace and quiet.

Follow the road up and you are rewarded with a fabulous 180 degree view of the bay and town. Drtive to the end to find the benches and the sit and stare.

It is an easy drive to the view point, with amazing views over Walker Bay and Hermanus.
What we loved the most was the fynbos, which was out in all it's glory! Very special being able to go up close to see the flowers

It's a short drive up, and the view at the top is really spectacular. The only negative was that I didn't feel safe just alone there with my young daughter. But we stopped just very quickly, got out the car and then headed back down, and I am glad we did it.

The view is amazing (wine farms, Hermanus town center and surrounding areas, Blue flag beaches). not forgetting to mention the hiking trails for nature lovers... Hermanus is the place to be when you need some tranquility.

You can either go up the Rotary drive by car or take the Chill Guru bus to see this magnificent view of Hermanus and Walker Bay that stretches all the way to Gansbaai in the background. A must when visiting Hermanus

Having been up there many a time, the views of Hermanus and the sea are stunning. Someday someone is going to build a resturant up there and all seasons would be enjoyed.

I had not taken the drive for, probably, over 15 years but a friend wanted to have a look at the view - and what a view! The tarred road ends at the look out point from where one looks down on the town and across the whole of Walker Bay. Really worth the drive. The access to Rotary Way is marked by an entrance displaying its name.
