What a beautiful outing for the whole family, with or without wine!

Kristen handmakes every aspect of her small batch ice cream, with ever evolving flavours, and the Heritage Gardens at this time of year are spectacular.

Constantia Uitsig has something for everyone!

Just had lunch at The Blockhouse on the Constanta uitsig estate. Mediocre charcuterie and cheese platters. Good service but what a cheek the Estate has to charge you to park when you going to spend money there! Won’t be going back as there are plenty of much more friendly winerys to visit in Constanta

This stunningly beautiful wine estate has something for everyone. A well thought out series of small intimate businesses offer ice cream, beer, wine & food. There is a fabulous playground for children (bring your bicycles kids 😊) - add to your must visit destinations whilst in Cape Town.

This is one of my favourite places. It offers so much. a bike park, upmarket restaurants, a bistro, a brewery selling the finest craft beer, a wine shop, an ice-cream shop that is world class, a sushi restaurant. I go there 2 or 3 times a week. BUT that's about to stop. In their greed they have just implemented a parking tarrif - you pay if you stay longer than 30 minurtes. So , the logic is this, if you come and support our vendors and hence our farm and you spend a minimal amount of money then you get to park for free! However, if you come and enjoy yourself for a few hours and spend a whole lot of money then you pay for parking. Are you completely nuts? It's not a lot of money to be fair but it's a huge slap in the face to your loyal and frequent customers!

This morning I arranged to meet a friend for coffee at Constantia Uitsig...What a bizarre experience.Security told me he did not know where the coffee shop was and quite arrogantly informed me "we have six or seven restaurants here"On arrival at said coffee shop I requested a large cappuccino ...no luck again...sorry we only have one size (VERY)small.I then had a rather small but very overpriced brekkie.Buuuttt then the crowning glory, for the above experience we had to still pay for parking.I dont get it? You have to pay for parking for the privilege of paying overpriced prices.Well thank gosh for freedom of choice,I will rather spend my money elsewhere and am willing to pay even more for a good sized cappuccino and breakfast but certainly not for parking.

Terrific service and food, breakfast and dinner. Inside and outside seating. Have a drink at the separate bar or just enjoy the local wine at dinner.

The food is so amazing, abit pricey but well worth it for special occassions. This is a fancier restaurant and a bit more formal.

Great family option! Pump track with bikes for rent (or bring your own). Several dining options, including great sushi. The ice cream, though, is the best! Only downside is not open on Sundays…

Called here many years ago, before the estate was sold, when we ate at River Cafe. Now it is all changed. Modernised, but they have opened and renovated what looks like old workers cottages. Each cottage has a different shop from Sushi Bar, coffee shop, beer tasting, Ice cream, hand made chocolates, all of which are lovely, but I do feel that the estate has not changed for the better, they now charge you R10 entry, and has lost its heart of the vineyard and wines. Now just like a wine factory .
