Maiden’s Cove is a great place to spend a few hours of your South African vacation when you’re in Cape Town.

Visiting Maiden’s Cove numerous times while last there parking was never an issue and above all parking is free. As always any traveller tip is to make sure your vehicle is secured and valuables are out of view and this goes for here too.

Once inside if you continue down the road and ignore the parking on the left and the right there is parking below and access to two tidal pools so bring swimwear and a change of clothes. There are bathroom facilities near both pools but they were locked during my visit. There are also two bathroom near the parking at the top.

If you’re not into the tidal pools. Park and make your way down between the rocks to the beach which is great for couples wanting to watch the sunset or a great place to let the kids loose to play in the surf but the water can be rough on windy days and swimming might not be advised plus it is cold that water even on blistering hot days which isn't all bad.

With a view of the mountain to the left and the ocean to the right staying just below the parking area on the slopping grass covered hill isn’t a bad option either. It’s a nice place to picnic and have a few drinks and watch the day go by.

After the sun is down it’s also nice to lay back on the grass and enjoy some stars but staying after dark again brings its own risk.

All in all it’s a great place to bring the kids to run around but keep them off the rocks, the drop is very step and dangerous best to stay in the tidal pool with kids, and in the grassy area or simply make sure you have their hands. For couples finding a quiet spot is easy and sipping wine and watching the day close is quiet romantic with the view there. Enjoy.

Camps bay is on any day a view no one should miss. The Maidens cove area give a wonderfull view over the bay. A nice picnic is also a great way to enjoy the time for little longer. From the Maidenscove area you have a stunning view over the Twelve Appostles at the back of Table Mountain. Another bonus is that the ablusion facilities are clean and well kept and for a public space a great discovery.

Awesome family spot where you can braai and swim and just enjoy the day . There is a tidal pool for adults and bigger children and a baby pool for the little ones to enjoy . I have never seen a public space where the ablution facilities are so clean and tidy .

Just up the road from Camps Bay (you could walk it) is Maidens Cove, a lovely little cove with great views back over the bay. There is a car park so you can pull up to take photographs. Good in the early evening.

There are a few vendors selling pictures etc but they were friendly and not pushy or intimidating.

We were in Cape Town and while going around spent some time at this lovely location. A good beach with beautiful view. Nothing very spectacular but like anywhere else a good beach to spend some time.

Went to visit Maidens' Cove on 25th June 2019 evening. The experience was awesome and the sunset viewed was one of the best and memorable one.

Took a large number of photographs and only a few are attached here,

Recommend everyone coming to Cape Town to come here in the evening hours and enjoy the Sunset

One of the most beautiful beaches in the Cape area. A great area for taking photos & selfies during the day of at sunset. Fun to to watch surfers, too. At sunset, great picture taking.

BOTTOM LINE: I have been here mid-morning and at dusk and both are amazing to see. Great spot to stretch you legs when traveling down to the Cape of Good Hope. The perfect backdrop area for bridals and modeling photography. Romantic sunset viewing! MY RATING: 10/10.

Here, while driving the peninsula, we had time to stretch our legs a bit and just walked, looking for interesting rocks and listened to the waves which were pretty strong that day. Another beautiful part of the natural beauty of the Cape Town area.

This is behind Table Mountain and it's so pretty! A good amount of parking and I believe bathrooms. There is a sandy beach area for toe dipping! A grassy green area too. Brought here by our private tour guide for one fantastic view!
