We enjoyed our visit to the V&A Waterfront and especially the Watershed. So many unique shops and places to eat. Found lots of goodies, everything from spices to hand crafted jewelry and clothing. When you get hungry head next door to The Food Shed for lots of great options.

I was really looking forward to this shop for souvenirs. Sadly disappointed. Yes, there's lots of stalls. Yes, there's a wealth of choices. But there are NO bargains to be gotten. Very expensive stuff, some of which was high quality, justifying the price, but a lot that wasn't. Found some cool pillow covers - over $30 each! I like to... More

Amazing place with so many interesting things to buy. And the food is truly incredible. Visited with our 7 and 5 year old who we pushed around with lightweight strollers. Had pizza on 2nd floor which was excellent. Variety of food was really impressive. The whole area felt very safe and was extremely clean, so perfect for a family.

This shed has all kinds of little shops inside. It's great to see these different things but just like the rest of the waterfront it is a bit overpriced. There is free wifi though!

Rather buy clothes and gifts here than at the mainstream shops in the bigger mall. Enjoy the local buskers and a juice. The dried fruit stall at the entrance has the best mango! Lovely vibe and cool stuffs.

I love purchasing something different and not having the trawl through lots of badly organised product range. I loved this place. It is very well laid out and compact. Yet, you could spend quite some time there as there's so much to see and purchase. I would highly recommend a visit there to anyone who likes something a little unique... More

I regret not buying anything at this place because it was the beginning of our 3 weeks in Africa and I did not want to being dragging things around. Well, what a mistake, please don't do it. This place has got some amazing things that you will not find anywhere else so my tip, if you like it, buy it!!

We spent the afternoon around the waterfront and came across the Water Shed (formally Red Shed). There are lots of stalls set up with really nice crafts and gift ideas. I just loved the designer wash basin with underwater fish scenes. We feel in love with the hand made patchwork animals and bought our granddaughter a hippo. There was lots... More

Every little stall has something unique. Truly South African made items. But be sure...they cater for foreign visitors. You have to live the AFRICA theme... Overall a nice walk and sight seeing.

Although this is at the V & A Waterfront, it is a little hidden away but definitely worth finding. It is a local craft market but with high end, tasteful goods, from boutiques with amazing clothes, to leather goods and ornamental gifts. The shops / stands are all manned by local artisans who are incredibly proud of their wares and... More
