The Oranjezicht City Farm (OZCF) is an educational non-profit project celebrating local food, culture and community through urban farming in Cape Town. Open Monday - Saturday from 08am to 4pm. OZCF also operates a fresh produce and food Market at Granger Bay at the V&A Waterfront, every Saturday from 08.15 to 2pm. At the Market customers can do weekly food shopping (veg, fruit, bread, organic dairy, free-range eggs, honey, muesli, etc), enjoy delicious cooked and raw foods and be inspired about helping to build an alternative food system. Plants and flowers, vintage collectables, and a small section of clothing also available.

We visited family close by and since I read about it I was most interested to see. The little plots looks well maintained and the produce available to purchase marvellous.

This is a really lovely market but its mostly fresh food not much in the way of gifts if thats what you are after. There is a restaurant section where you can purchase really good food and then sit outside looking out over the atlantic...More

Walk amongst the plants and experience nature.Learn about the history of the location and perhaps pick some produce when invited to do so. A wonderful initiative which has spawned the successful Oranjezicht market on Saturday mornings, located at the Waterfront precinct.

Lovely looking fresh veggies. Great variety and loads of colours and choice. Many places making breakfast, fresh juices, coffees - certainly can have a great meal. Very busy and parking a premium. Some non food stalls as well. Certainly would visit again.

I only stumbled on this market early afternoon on Saturday, and expecting much might already be sold out (it seemed to be a farmers' market), I stopped anyway. Parked at the V&A parking and easy walk to the market. Really good coffee (nice creamy, micro-foamy...More

If food is your thing and you like to buy organic, then this is the place! The market is near the V&A Waterfront though, not at the farm anymore. It gets a little crowded after 10, so best to be there early. Deliciousness all around...More

We returned to the market for lunch with CTN friends – still the best in CTN! Plenty of safe parking, seating, a variety of vendors, clean toilets, etc. We savoured the delicious coffee, designer dishes, baked eats and treats and soaked up the festive atmosphere....More
