Paragliders take of at the end of the road. Watching them taking off (sometimes taking of and immediately landing in the next bush) is very relaxing and entertaining at the same time. Great view overlooking the ocean and the sunset in the west and beautiful views overlooking Cape Town, Table Mountain and Lions Head southeast to southwest.

A great place to watch the sunset or see the city lights at night. Parking and facilities are provided for, and the area feels safe. I would recommend a picnic blanket, some snacks and maybe some bubbly.

We walked up to the Signal Hill from the city via the Noon Gun Hill and went on to the Lion Head. What an enjoyable and interesting hike with great views! The Signal Hill is a perfect place to picnic. Non-hikers can come up to the main parking lot with one of the trail-heads via taxi or rental car and... More

My first hand experience of Signal Hill was so exciting. I visited with family from my hometown. It is a bit is a steep incline. Lots of indigenous and beautiful plants along the way. You can park the vehicle and walk to the top. A bit of a walk but worth the effort. Take along a picnic basket and enjoy... More

A perfect spot to watch the sun go down over the city. Grab some dinner for take-out, drive to Signal Hill, find a spot to sit, and watch the sunset on both sides of the peninsula. It's beautiful!

First time I heard the noon cannon go off I was driving along the bottom of signal hill- and it startled me. Signal hill is nice for a hike from the city. Very accessable and you have a nice view.

We came up on a beautiful sunny day. Actually it was part of the half marathon run that took place today and they ran through Signal hill.

The table mountain cable car was not operating when we visited so this was the alternate viewing spot. Had a good view from here and lucky because the day we went table mountain was in cloud anyway

Been here many times all throughout the year and I have always been blown away by the views that this magical hill has to offer... I suggest that the odd, rainy days that it may not seem worth the drive, believe me, the views even a rainy day will bring is worth the drive!
