Difficult to get there, but amazing ending!

For me, who don't practice any kind of sport was a little bit hard to get on the top, It took 2 hours. But It's worth a lot!

If you want to test your fitness climbing or if possible running up the Lions Head is a good way to do so. It starts with a gravel path going around the mountain and then gets increasingly steeper. The last part consists of climbing rocks. You don’t have to be an experienced mountaineer to climb up. But make no mistake:... More

A must if you like hiking to amazing views. It is steep at times and was pretty crowded when I went (sunset) but well worth it and good exercise.

Even if you're not an avid climber, you must do Lion's Head. This one is really about the journey and when you reach the top of Lion's Head the views are simply breathtaking.

We did this hike one morning during the first week of January 2017, starting around 9:30 AM. We took an Uber cab to the base from our B&B in Bo Kaap, and took a taxi back. Taxi's were available at the base of the mountain. We walked at a moderate pace and stopped to look at the views frequently since... More

Yes it's absolutely a beautiful view, we were very impressed with to be there. It's breath taking, our friend from South Africa took us there, it was very busy, we were there on the school break.

Well worth a bit of hike. It is steep at the beginning but actually gets easier for a bit part way up. The final trek is very steep with ladders so not for the fainthearted. You can get quite a long way up on moderate paths and the 360 degree views are great. Mixed ability groups could do the hike... More

Overlooking all of the city bowl and the twelve apostles lions head is the keeper of Cape Town. It's a beautiful cliff face that adds to the majestic views of the city.

We had planned a guided hike up table mountain followed by the cable car down and then a city tour. Due to high winds the cable car was closed and we changed to Lions head. It's a good 4-5km round trip at times using ladders and staples drilled into the rock. DO NOT attempt in flip flops or without water.... More

Lions head is a spiral walk and hike to see some spectacular views , you can paraglide from the side down at a rate on R1500 per person (worth it) but you need to make it to the top. there is a ladder and some chains you need to climbs so not for the light hearted. take water on hot... More
