Wow, I love my sunsets and thought i had seen really amazing ones. But the sunset from Lion's Head (weather permitting) is spectacular. Hint, take a small picnic and a jacket (for just in case)

Not to stringent climb up Lions Head to get an amazing view. Really worth the effort. I would reconmend going early morning or late afternoon as it get really warm in SA during the summer.

I have hiked Lion's Head multiple times: during the day, at sunrise, during full moon etc. and it NEVER disappoints. The 360 views of the whole of Cape Town, it's beaches, Robben Island, Table Mountain etc. is stunning and cannot be matched. The hike is...More

We visited the Lions Head on our way to Signal Hill. Many tourists prefer to do hiking here. Good shots of Cape Town can be taken from here.

Although lesser in height than Table Mountain, it offers a great hike to the top, and unsurpassed views over the city, the bay and Robben Island. If you have the time and energy, you should definitely try to scale it.

This is such a beautiful and exciting hike. You definitely need to be fit to go up the "hard" way. I didn't go up the "easy" way but my guess is there is still some light rock climbing. The view at the top is well...More
