I am a Cape Town local and have never been to Sandy Bay. I decided to visit and was not disappointed. It is simply a beautiful stretch of coastline. I kinda had a fear of being awkward being nude in front of and seeing strangers nude. It was the most liberating experience. Expect to be stared at by gawkers from... More

We visited Llandudno as we are from North Wales where the original Llandudno is. It is a very exclusive housing area with a small car park right at the bottom of the hill which gives access to the stunning beach. If you are looking for tranquility just outside Capetown you should find it here as long as it is not... More

I have been living in Cape Town for many years now and I have never visited the iconic Sandy Bay nude beach before today. Before embarking on the adventure I did my fair share of research as the rumors around Sandy Bay are as legendary as the nude beach itself. Situated at 34.0233° S, 18.3308° E Sandy Bay is one... So the husband and I went to Sandy Bay for the first time ever. We've lived in Cape Town for almost five years, and had never been. First we stopped by Llundudno beach. Oh my goodness - just how gorgeous is that little spot!!?? Then we followed the signs and drove around to the parking for Sandy Bay. Again, the... More

Get down to this lovely sandy beach with its rocks bordering the perimeter...water can be rough so be careful. Nice fish and chips available when open...

I have used both options Hout Bay and Llandudno to go to Sandy Bay and can definitely say that the walk from Llandudno is so much easier. Just follow the Sandy Bay signs when you turn off into Llandudno and park in the parking area. An easy 15 minutes walk along the beach to Sandy Bay. A reminder there are... More

The Sandy beach below looked inviting but the weather was not quite warm enough. You could see Hout Bay far in the distance and the fishermans wharf offered a variety of places to eat.
