Though the beach is still popular, the elegant splendor that once graced this seaside resort community barely shows through the paved-over streets, fast-food eateries and shopping centers.

Muizenberg Beach is beautiful and pretty close if you're coming from the Southern Suburbs, not as far as Fish Hoek or Simon's Town. It can get very crowded on a nice day so I suggest that you go earlier rather than later as parking can become and issue or take the train... There are a few great restaurants eg. Tiger's... More

After being in Muizenberg for almost a year now, I know it's one of the best, if not BEST locations to stay in Cape Town. If you like surfing, beaches and walking, there is no better place on earth. The atmosphere is relaxed and facilities more than sufficient. Due to the infamous South-Easter Wind it never gets too hot, or... More

We visited the beach on a late Sunday morning and it was pretty packed. The colorful huts are still there but parking could be an issue (parking wardens were around to help). The crowd dissipated slightly when it was around mid-noon.

If you are travelling to the Cape Peninsula and are looking for a nice stop to Stretch your legs, this is perfect. Lovely Long beach with lots of water-based activities. Grab something to eat and watch the scenery.

With it's vibriant coloured little dressing cabins, Muizenberg is a wonderful swimming beach. This beach offers sea guards and it is perfectly safe to swim here.

color painted bathing/change rooms are the highlight.. good pictures . The kids had a ball in the sea, it was cold but the locals didn't mind. I realised that this was warm (Indian Ocean) after we wet our feet at Camps' Bay (Atlantic side)

Muizenberg is a little forgotten part of the Cape Town southern suburbs, it offers the same funky little vibe as Kalk Bay and Simons Town but with less of a crowd and a more local feel. The surf was great for beginners and long boarders, as were the opportunities for Kite Surfers to get on out there at the beach... More

Muizenberg is a great way to get you in the water but beware of sharks. Muizenberg is the best and only beach I have been to. Why you should go to Muizenberg beach? Muizenberg is a great and sunny place it's just like the Dead Sea it's got half of the salt in the Dead Sea.
