The new and the old synagogue are beautiful and the museum depicting the history of the Jewish community in Cape Town was excellent. Staff were friendly and informative; we were fortunate to be there on a day when there were school groups present so we...More

Having traveled to synagogues all over the world this one ranks up there as one of the most beautiful. We were fortunate to have Ben as our tour guide for an hour. Not only did we see the building but he was also a wealth...More

Came here during the week and although the external architecture was remarkable, it was disappointing not to find a sign with the opening hours.

Had the chance to stop by the Synagogue and very much enjoyed it's architectural design. I liked the fact that it looks nothing like the other buildings in the area. A nice place to wonder around for a few minutes.

You need to show a picture ID to enter this complex which also contains the Jewish Museum as well as the Holocaust Museum. We were able to enter the shul and given a brief tour and information about the building and congregation.

Beautiful. Attended wedding there. My husband grew up as a congregant and bar mitzvah boy in this synagogue. There is also a lovely very informative Jewish Museum and cafe behind the Synagogue.
