The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

A nice nature walk in the middle of the City. If you want to get a breath of fresh air and collect your thoughts with a little help from nature as well as a little exercise then give it a try.

After living in Green Point for a month or two my wife & I set out to find this oasis. And what an oasis it is. Great place to picnic and just relax!

Found this park whilst strolling from Cape Town. Made a nice change from downtown. Gardens were well maintained and clean. The biodiversity park provided a good introduction to Feldvos and it's importance to SA, very educational. 1-2 hours here is a recommended visit. A few...More

This is an unexpected oasis I found purely by chance when taking a walk from Sea Point to the Central City. That's about an hour's walk so it was nice to wander through here and sit in the shade for a while on the way...More

The park is great! Very funny and informatively made, so that everyone child-to-granny has an interesting time there. Also "hands-on" and interactive experiences on plants and biodiversity can be made.

If the weather is not too hot, here's a nice place for a stroll and a mini-explore. It is a very unchallenging walk, flat and safe underfoot - with interesting information boards along the way. Keep your eyes on the lighthouse and you'll also reach...More
