The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

A well kept area and a peaceful biodiversity park. It is lovely to sit on the bench alongside the lake, read a book and have a take away coffee at the mac donalds around the corner. Or walk around the read the interesting information about the biodiversity. Organise friends or family to meet for a picnic and enjoy the sunshine.... More

What an amazing way to spend a day.Take a picnic basket and/or do the Wetland Walk and Biodiversity Trail. The kids play on the numerous and safe structures.

A positive result of the absurd anount spent on building the Cape Town stadium (background) for the 2010 FIFA World cup. Great facilities, form jungle gyms for young and a little older, an outdoor gym park...and the Mouille point lighthouse and ocean promenade across the road.

this venue is fantastic for picnics and fun filled walks, spotlessly clean and widespread facilities. there are some little lakes with wild birds for you and the children to see. take a camera and wear comfortable walking shoes, and choose a day when the wind is not blowing.

So much space, so many apparatus to climb and plenty of circuits and pathways to ride bikes, skateboards and scooters. Kids always have a ball when we go, and this visit was no different :-)

I was surprised about the beautiful scenery. The ducks in the pond is so peaceful. The walkways are clean and lots of plants and flowers to see.
