Make sure you book your tickets online to avoid any potential lines for purchase at the gate. You can walk all over the top of the mountain so make sure you allow enough time for viewing and travel back down before they close for the evening.

One must surely go to Table mountain, it is absolutely amazing. You can do the booking online, just to avoid the long line to get the tickets. It is one of those things which should not be missed.

Was there January 2917 in a very clear morning. The view of Cape Town is fantastic from the top with several look outs. Is in fact a small park on the top of a flat mountain.

Our group hiked up Table Mountain and had a fantastic time. This is not a hike for the weak of heart, and in reality there is much more climbing than there is actually walking/hiking. You will be scrambling a good bit of the way, and there are even some sections where you have to pull yourself up with a chain.... More

A must visit attraction! On a clear day the views are amazing and we saw lots of wildlife (birds and dassis). We got the cable car up at about 11am which was a mistake as the queues were huge. Apparently it's best to go earlier to later. We didn't realize but you could pre-book tickets online. Luckily there was wifi... More

We did the two day bus tour which stops at the base. Tickets can be bought in the office on Long Street. It can be windy and the cable-cars don't run if it is so check the weather before you leave.

Very well run, so unspoiled and a must for anyone who wants their breath taking away! We took probably 4 hours to drive through this wonderful park but due to the heat, don't expect to see much wildlife (though we did see ostriches) Book the two oceans restaurant - it gets really busy!

Table Mountain national park is the park that houses the Cape of Good Hope and the Funicular (slow train) up to the light house. Many locals come here to bike or kite sail in good weather and when tour buses turn up, it can get extremely crowded. I would advise that you bring your own food since the solitary restaurant...
